Responsibilities

• Assists the Senior Manager in managing the safe, effective and efficient preparation, cleaning
  and repair of passenger trains so that the required number of trains is continuously provided
  for passenger service
• Manages, leads and motivates a group of Senior / Assistant Engineers and Senior / Technicians
  in the corrective and preventive maintenance of the DTL passenger trains
• Provides technical investigations and analyze structural, system or component problems on
  rolling stock and recommend solutions and trials

Job Description:

• Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily operation, facilitate effective repair and maintenance of the Hotel Asset
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Engineering and Maintenance operations in an efficient condition to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and employees
• Support Guest experience through programmed maintenance of the Hotel in all areas from Public Areas to Guest rooms
• Drive the Engineering team to be efficient and effective when it comes to maintaining the Hotel Asset
• Be a key leader of the Hotel’s Fire & Safety culture, conducting training and ensuring the equipment is in top working condition following all local government regulations
• Department Training Champion, ensuring effective, regular training is conducted to Support the HOD's responsibility in this area
• Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times by the Hotel team & contractors. BizSAFE 3
• Always look for energy, water, and other efficiencies that the Hotel can apply to reduce our impact on the environment and operating costs
• Led a team of engineering and Maintenance Specialists responsible for all engineering operations such as troubleshooting operations, repairs, maintenance of mechanical, and electrical service, and general building
• To ensure the compliance of all local Fire & Safety, building control & environmental codes and regulations
• Coordinate and link with various service companies, contractors, consultants, architects, government, etc.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role. Preferably with experience in hotel, building facilities, or construction maintenance
• At least Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Highly organized, and decisive, with the ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines and changing priorities
• Excellent leadership, teamwork skills, and a high level of initiative
• Strong in analytical, problem solving skills, and execution of work

Responsibilities

· Understand customer demands, challenges, and objectives through assessments, information gathering and Customers, technology/industrial engagements

· Collaboration with sales & business development, product & engineering stakeholders including analyse and selection of appropriate hardware, software, and services to create the winning solution offering to customer and markets

· Developing detailed proposals, presentations, and technical documentation that outline the proposed solutions, including features, benefits, and pricing. Presenting these proposals to customers in a clear and compelling manner

· Preparation and conduct of product and solution exhibitions, demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities to showcase the capabilities and address any technical questions or concerns from customers

· Providing technical expertise and support to business development & sales team throughout the sales cycle, including participating in customer meetings, responding to technical queries, and contributing to the development of sales strategies

· Building and maintaining relationships with technology vendors and partners to stay informed about the latest products, technologies, and industry trends. This includes evaluating new solutions and incorporating them into proposed designs

Requirements

YOUR ROLE:

The Senior Data Engineer will work on acquiring, storing, governing and processing huge sets of structured / unstructured data. You will bring a vision of the big data solutions landscape for choosing optimal architecture components to use for these purposes as well as a set of data engineering skills for implementing enterprise data foundations such as data lake. Finally, you will work closely with other PALO IT experts in Data Intelligence, Research, UX Design, Digital Technology and Agile teams to enable intelligence in the digital mesh of our clients and deliver big impact to them.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and process structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Build and manage data warehouses and data lakes, implementing efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms. Design data models that support business requirements and analytics use cases.
• Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to design and deploy scalable data infrastructure, optimizing for performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with security standards.
• Continuously monitor and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to improve processing speed, reduce latency, and enhance overall system performance.
• Work collaboratively with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs, provide technical expertise, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
• Support business users by implementing data presentation layer including data visualisation using tools like Tableau, PowerBI etc.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in the big data and data engineering space, evaluating and implementing innovative solutions to improve data processing capabilities.
• Support the definition and optimization of underlying data infrastructure

WHO YOU ARE:

• You hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in IT, Information Management, and/or Computer Science with at least 6 years of experience.
• Good knowledge of the big data technology landscape and concepts related to distributed storage/computing
• Experience with big data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) and distributions (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR)
• Experience with batch & ETL jobs to ingest and process data from multiple data sources
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB, Neo4J, ElasticSearch)
• Experience with querying tools (e.g Hive, Spark SQL, Impala)
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience or willingness to go in real-time stream processing, using solutions such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Flume, and/or Spark Streaming
• Experience or willingness to learn about DevOps and DataOps principles (e.g Infrastructure as Code, automating different parts of the data pipeline)
• High-level understanding of Data Science concepts and methodologies (how models are built, trained, and deployed)
