Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Simulation Engineer specializing in electrochemical modeling to join our innovative Battery Material Research Division. This role is crucial in advancing simulation technologies to evaluate and optimize battery performance, safety, and longevity. It emphasizes a hands-on approach to laboratory experiments and leveraging simulation tools to develop cutting-edge lithium-ion and solid-state battery technologies.

Job Scope: Senior Simulation Engineer - Electrochemical Modeling

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research into battery working principles and failure mechanisms, developing multiscale and multiphysics-based battery models for rapid performance evaluation and diagnosis.
• Establish and refine electrochemical models, perform parameter determination, and execute numerical calculations and result analyses.
• Explore and implement simulation technologies to assess battery electrical performance, thermal runaway safety, and life prediction, providing actionable insights for the team.
• Utilize simulation outcomes to optimize existing product designs and propose innovative product design strategies.
• Design and execute experiments to generate data for training, validating, and testing battery models.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or relevant Engineering disciplines.
• Strong foundation in lithium-ion cell electrochemistry and mechanisms.
• Hands-on expertise with battery testing equipment, protocols, and physical-chemical evaluation techniques.
• Proficiency in electrochemical simulation and algorithm development software, such as COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent tools.
• Practical experience in experimental battery research, including DOE design and analysis. Capability in electrochemical testing and analysis of battery materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or related discipline, or equivalently those with an M.S/M. Eng. with industrial experience in photonic integrated circuit design and validation will also be considered.
• A strong understanding of optical component design, fabrication and validation.
• Solid background in semiconductor optical devices such as modulators, detectors and other integrated waveguide devices.
• Use of industry standard optical and electrical modeling and simulation software to design electro-optical devices and generate GDS level mask data for device fabrication.
• Direct experience of optical components and integrated circuits characterization including optical coupling, DC and RF testing (test automation in R&D environment).
• Familiarity or direct experience in the standard Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies required for fabrication and integration of electrical and optical devices.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
• Self-starter, motivated to get things done.

Job Responsibilities

• Be a key contributor to development of state-of-the-art silicon photonics light engine at Marvell.
• Responsible for all aspects of engineering design, process development, and productization for Marvell’s next-generation optics products, involved in a full product lifecycle and will carry new products from inception all the way to NPI.
• Implement creative design solutions to accelerate design and tape-out of photonics products.
• Collaborate closely with CAD and foundry process teams working on the development and support of next generation photonics design flow and design automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of Digital and Analog Circuit designers, Signal/Power Integrity, and substrate layout, and system design team.

Job Scope:

Job Description

• Analyze operational solutions for electronic interconnect manufacturing projects such as process and methods analysis, cost containment, capacity enhancement, and shipment optimization.
• Work with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers to review customer prints, bill of materials (BOM), contractual commitments and related information to determine logistics and develop logistics metrics and key performance indicators.
• Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities; develop cost estimates and forecasts
• Monitor projects from product design, materials planning, ramp-up production of wire harness products and ensure meeting with schedules and reaching company’s business objectives.
• Involved in defining work procedures/processes and building up documentation system.

Job Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year in the manufacturing industry
• Possess with mechanical/mechanical/electrical/electronics and experience in manufacturing would be an advantage
• With knowledge on production routing and scheduling is preferred
• Possess good leadership and must be a strong team player
• Hands on skill in assembly products is preferred.
