What does your role entail?
- Work in a Application Maintenance environment and adhere to processes and perform Incident, Release, Change Management.
- Apply critical thinking and geospatial analysis to identify and troubleshoot the application or software issues and provide resolution of incident within the stipulated SLA
- Updating and preparing manuals, specification and other technical documentations in relation to the day to day operation.
- Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications.
- Monitor and manage bug fixes and service request
- Stake holder for the Change Management Board (CAB)
- Ability to identify and segregating between a service request and change request.
- Providing domain knowledge to the project team on potential Change Request
- Taking over from Project team for any new CR for Day 2 operation
- Develop a methodology to improve the quality of system and application design by identifying design issues which will result in system inefficiencies, performance issues or technical debt
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships with client’s stakeholders.
What experience is required?
- BA in computer science, information technology engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field
- ITIL Certification preferred
- Proactive and self-driven and able to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate and follow up on support cases.
- Working experience for Esri’s ArcGIS product suite, including ArcGIS Pro / Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Mobile Apps and/or ArcGIS Online and web technologies will be an advantage.
- Experience in scripting or developer languages such as JavaScript, REST and Python, or web design experience such as HTML, CSS etc. will be an advantage.
- Experience in working with geospatial datasets and data formats (such as DWG, DGN, BIM, 3D, and others) is desirable will be an advantage.
- Extensive experience with Java framework/SDK, front end or backend development.
- Strong Java development experience wth RDMS like oracle or mysql or mongoDB
- Good understanding of development methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC, Api, MVC, hibernate)
- Client/Server scripting framework (Javascript, react.js, angular.js, knockout.js, node.js)
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications
- Understand browser-specific compatibility issues.
- Expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of user-centric software, with focus on usability
- Certification in Java or equivalent
- Understanding and practicing of Agile methodologies will be added advantages
- Experience in Java based mobile application development will be added advantages
