Director, Smart Manufacturing & AI, Procurement & Cost
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director, SMAI, you will play a pivotal role as a cost transformation director in driving cost reduction initiatives across procurement and manufacturing functions. You will lead and establish a team of I4.0 Managers & Analysts. You will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of cost improvement ideas. You will develop AI & Data Science solutions and work closely with collaborators to ensure positive impact and balanced results. You will also apply industry-leading methodologies in AI, analytics and automation to improve Micron’s technology development and business processes across the company.
Other Responsibilities:
- Focus on Procurement & Cost, driving and delivering coordinated smart manufacturing solutions across various business functions such as Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing, and Sales.
- Identify and translate cost reduction opportunities into actionable initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate with partners across business units to ensure alignment and effective execution of cost-saving measures.
- Own the implementation of cost transformation initiatives to achieve timely and efficient benefits.
- Apply analytical skills to assess cost structures and build optimization strategies.
- Ensure cost transformation efforts are strategically focused and chip in to Micron's overall financial health.
- Optimize communication of sophisticated ideas and strategies to customers and partners at all levels.
You Are:
- Experienced leader skilled in managing cost transformation projects, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to drive central initiatives in an organized and adaptable manner.
- Possess a Masters’ Degree or equivalent experience and at least 12 years of work experience across key business functional areas such as Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, etc.
- Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate sophisticated ideas effectively and work with others at all levels
- Strategically focused, impact oriented, highly organized, and adaptable
- Experience in the semiconductor industry and solid understanding of relevant cost solutions are highly desirable
