The objective of this project is to advance the field of RNA analysis by developing and implementing innovative analytical tools. These tools will be used in a comprehensive study of all forms of RNA -- the ribonucleome -- and the >170 RNA modifications -- the epitranscriptome -- in disease pathobiology, host-pathogen interactions, biomarker development, and therapeutic target discovery.

Responsibilities

The Research Engineer will plan and conduct experiments with the aim of understanding RNA modifications' roles in human disease and leveraging RNA-modifying enzymes as potential drug discovery targets. The candidate will work primarily on cell culture, RNA isolation, and chromatography-coupled mass spectrometry analysis. The Piping Mechanical Engineer reports to the Project Engineering Manager and shall be responsible for technical compliance with all design requirements and coordination with the necessary Client and Subcontractor’s discipline engineering professionals. The lead piping engineer shall ensure that all de-signs comply with the requirements of the Work; that all Work is efficiently and effectively executed in accordance with the criteria, specifications and standards listed in the CONTRACT; and that the designs comply with safe and reasonable standards as accepted within the offshore oil and gas industry. They shall be responsible for his/her scope of work as given below:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review key project documentation in executing the complete scope of piping engineering work as per the project requirements.
• Familiar with offshore piping materials, stress engineering, platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling and pipe support design.
• Conduct 3d Model reviews as per project requirements.
• Experience in piping standards, creating MTOs.
• Ensure that technical compliance with all design requirements is met.
• Prepare and review detailed calculations, analysis, and solutions to deliver safe, secure, and fully functional facilities.
• Interface with Client’s Engineering team to resolve the technical issues.
• Effectively manage design changes and provide optimized solutions during project executions.
• Review and management of project general specifications, engineering procedures and policies.
• Provide work progress reports.
• Accountable for the quality engineering deliverables.
• Provide engineering guidance to Contractors wherever required.
• Achieve safety standards as defined in Project requirements.
• To achieve project completion to the project specifications on schedule.
• Support project planning as necessary.
• Field Engineering support during construction phase of the project.
• Coordinate with class for surveys and reviews related to shipyard work.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties for monitoring and controls.

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to relocate to Dubai for Project duration, minimum 6 months.
• Minimum educational requirements of a Bachelor’s and/or Masters’ degree in mechanical/materials engineering.
• Direct experience as a lead piping engineer working on FPSO projects.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience, with Oil & Gas projects (fixed installations and FPSOs), with significant experience working as a Senior or Lead Engineer.
• Must have prior work experience with medium/ large sized brownfield and/or greenfield projects in the upstream Oil and Gas sector, in a similar role and possess a good understanding of project phases, milestones, deliverables, internal and external interfaces.
• Shall be skilled with commonly used business software applications such MS Office, MS project and drafting software such as AutoCad and ed modelling software such as PDMS.
• Shall be capable of supporting the development and implementing recommendations from third party safety studies and workshops, including HAZID/ENVID, SIL Classifications, Smoke, Gas, Fire and Explosion Risk Analyses, QRA, ALARP assessments, Fire and Gas Mappings and Noise Studies.
