Job Scope:

To perform investigations, change plans or other functional support associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within the biologics production facility and work cross functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform technical writing and investigation of non-conformances in collaboration with Operations
• Identify and put in place appropriate corrective and preventative actions in conjunction with Operations team Change Management
• Structure common Operations Training modules and Train new hires on such modules
• Trends Key Performance Indicators and implement measures to streamline work processes and procedures GMP Document Authoring and Revision
• Electronic Batch Record Co-Authoring, Revision and improvement
• Participates / leads operations improvements and new product introduction projects
• Work with Quality systems (e.g. CAPA and change plans) and Operations
• Related System (LIMS, SAP, PI, Maximo, MS Office)
• Assist in regulatory inspections, detailing investigations and change plans.
• Work on continuous improvement projects

About You:

• BS (or equivalent experience), with at least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of GMP systems such as Trackwise, SAP, LIMS, MES systems are preferred
• Experience with cGMP documentation and record maintenance
• Experience with Regulatory inspections is required
• Strong ability to lead and drive cross functional teams
• Excellent attitude towards work, with strong drive to drive tasks to closure
• Agility, able to work under stress and cater to different priorities
• Good presentation and strong technical writing skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Duration: 12 months. Option to extend depending on business needs.

Our Client is in the Manufacturing Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an Automation Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain site automation systems, including ABB 800xA, Control Builder, Schneider Quantum, ProWORX 32, and industrial network infrastructure.
• Administer VMware setups, server/workstation configurations, FIX32 database/graphics, MES/DCS/SCADA/PLC systems, label applicators, and ABB robotic palletizer systems.
• Implement automation and control solutions for plant modifications, capital projects, and improvement initiatives in alignment with specifications, budgets, and procedural guidelines.
• Provide expert advice and support for troubleshooting, optimizing processes, and improving systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, maintain inspection readiness, and participate in audit activities as required.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff to enhance their skills and contribute to achieving departmental goals.
• Assist in preparing the section’s annual operating budget to meet operational and strategic objectives.
• Plan and execute maintenance schedules, manage resources during maintenance activities, and address breakdowns effectively, including engaging external expertise when needed.
• Support facility master planning to ensure compliance with engineering standards, address obsolescence, and manage asset replacements.
• Monitor and maintain automation systems to ensure seamless plant operations and minimize production disruptions.
• Address customer complaints and deviations by ensuring timely implementation of corrective engineering actions.
• Any ad-hoc duty as given

Requirements

• Min degree in the relevant engineering discipline
• Min 3 years of relevant experience in the process/food industry
• PLC experience in ABB 800xA, Scheider or Siemens
• Good understanding of local codes and requirements
• Experience in Control systems both in maintenance and plant commissioning
