• Factory equipment, light, fans etc are switched off and all mixing vessels are emptied or valves secured, bungs intact before factory are left unattended.
• Responsible for training workers on handling chemical spillage and emergency response activities.  All new workers are to be familiarized with all aspects of safety, according to the new employee induction procedure checklist.  Upon completion of the induction, the immediate supervisor and the new employee must sign the form.

Expected Duties:

He or she before be able to:

1) To have some knowledge in handling minimum one of the testing equipments such as AAS, ICP (OES), ICP (MS) and fire assay.

2) Carry out research on upcoming projects, improving SOP in chemical testing methods.

3) Provide write up instruction manuals on proper chemical testing and processing procedures including , type of chemicals to be used, mixing times, operating temperatures as future SOP for chemical testing and assaying methods in an analytical approach.

4) Prepare compounds, reagents, and solutions used in laboratory procedures in a safe manner. To prepare new standards of Lab safety rules.

5) Preferred to have some knowledge in electrolysis and electro plating and comfortable in handing chemicals such as potassium cyanide or sodium cyanide.

6) Provide timely and regular technical and assay reports to describe yours methods and findings. To present these findings to customer, engineers, managing directors, directors and other colleagues whenever necessary.

7) To be able to travel occasionally offshore for very short trips on assay witnessing work or related duties

The Opportunity:

· Location: West, Singapore

· Basic Salary: Up to $2,300 (Based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Functional:

· Oversee and manage activities in the QC labs and associated areas, including:

QC Change Room

Sample Retain Room

Inventory Room

Other areas as per site layout

· Execute QC procedures (SOPs) for conducting lab analysis.

· Prepare and maintain instruments used in the laboratory.

· Collect raw material samples from the plant.

· Maintain general housekeeping of the lab.

· Assist supervisors in setting up new analytical methods and techniques.

· Ensure all data is accurately generated according to SOPs and transferred to SAP.

· Review and validate test results against predefined specifications.

· Promptly report abnormalities to the manager.

· Ensure safe work practices in the lab and surrounding areas.

· Comply with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standard requirements.

· Perform additional tasks as required.

EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety):

· Adhere to lab safety procedures and comply with site safety regulations, processes, and work guidelines to ensure personal and colleague safety.

· Serve as a safety role such as First Aider, EHS Committee Member, or Fire Warden when appointed.

· Maintain and update the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the laboratory.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

• Provides support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate the efficient operations within the production area
• To optimize existing processes and to ensure that production goals are met
• Ensures attainment of level of production and activities on an hour-to-hour, daily, monthly and yearly basis
• Monitors performance of equipment, machines, tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues.
• Interfaces with Quality and Research & Development organizations to integrate new products and/or processes into the existing manufacturing area
• Ensure manufacturing production requirements are met in terms of utilities supplies and engineering support.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible to manage and focus directly on GMP food safety engineering/food security and validation, in preparation for the commercial production of regulated products.
• Responsible to perform quality events investigation and developing CAPA actions. Ensuring the effectiveness of CAPA action.
• Interface with other departments and suppliers to address root causes.
• Support in the review new standard policies and perform gap analysis with existing policies. Recommend solutions to bridge the gaps.
• Support project execution of facilities and equipment and optimization of existing manufacturing processes to deliver products with the production requirements consistent with Gold Standard Policies.
• Responsible to motivate and train employees for manufacturing related activities.
• Lead incident reviews to investigate and correct microbiological non-conformities and provide recommendation regarding process design, product disposition and continuous improvement.
• Optimize the documentation for quality systems, cleaning and validation, SOPs, HACCP plans, and food safety policy and protocols.
• Ensures plant Food Safety documentation is maintained in an audit-ready state, meeting all statutory, regulatory requirements & customer expectations.
• Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at an effective operating cost.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
• Prepares reports, publishes, and makes presentations to communicate findings.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology or a related discipline is preferred.
• Possess 1-4 years of experience
• Experience and proficiency in investigation record writing will be highly advantageous
• Knowledge in SAP system/POMS/MES is preferred
• Knowledge in food microbiology and food safety is preferred
• Understanding of engineering principles, theories concepts, practices and techniques.
• Adaptable and efficient decision-making
