Purpose: Responsible for supervising staff, ensuring health and safety regulations at work are followed, making sure adequate training has been provided to the workers in the usage of equipment, and identifying deficiencies to be improved in production.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Supervising the man and assembly process, ensuring quality work is done safely and efficiently.
• Organize and motivate the mini-companies to perform daily production activities.
• Draw up training, and job rotation plans to develop manpower to be more flexible and competent and stimulate continuous productivity improvement.
• Liaising with other Engineers to develop plans that improve productivity, in terms of costs and manpower required.
• Support engineering/manufacturing teams, draw up safety protocols, report issues to the manager, and develop strategies to improve efficiency and profit.
• Take part in quality meetings with QA and process, conduct production CAB meetings, and ensure corrective actions are carried out.
• Conduct daily supervisor and production meetings to achieve delivery reliability.
• Record and report on the department’s activities and production results regularly in each productivity review meeting.
• Manage consumables and non-capitalized equipment spending.
• Maintain and ensure 5S housekeeping on the shop floor.

Qualification & Experiences:

• Diploma/bachelor’s in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Precision or Industrial Engineering).
• At least 3 years of experience as an engineer in the manufacturing assembly environment.
• Good communication skills to perform mentoring and coaching to production staff.
• Good knowledge in problem-solving methodology.
• Ensure the safety standards and process safety management is duly followed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct forecasting and planning of materials to ensure smooth production process.
• Schedule and plan production activities based on job orders.
• Monitor the lead time of producing the finished product.
• Update and check inventory physical stock and arrange production of finished goods to meet the sales order.
• Ensure production schedule meet the delivery date.
• Liaise with suppliers for powder coating.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies and quality issues.

Requirements:

• Experience in aluminium working sector and manufacturing.
• Able to lead team members on production and installation.
• Have experience in working machineries.
• Able to read technical and installation drawings.
• Ensure products and install quality.
• Planning of production schedules and allocate sufficient Manpower.
• Implementation production processes and maximize efficiency and reduce production waste.
• Implementing continuous process improvements.
• Preparing material and equipment lists, PO, cost analyses and estimated cost.
• Provide training staff for new production teams.
• Working hours & days: 6 days work per week 8:30am to 5:30pm.
• Working location - Ubi.

Production Crew

• Operating equipment: Production workers may operate machinery such as conveyor lines, Table Saw, or Drilling Machines.
• Feeding raw materials: They may measure, grade, and feed raw materials into production machinery.
• Assembling products: They may assemble parts or products by hand or using power tools.
• Monitoring production: They may monitor production lines and processes to ensure high-quality products are being produced.
• Reporting equipment faults: They may report equipment faults to maintenance staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness: They may keep their workstation and the facility floor clean and free of hazards.
• Inspecting products: They may inspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality and safety specifications.
• Attaching labels: They may attach labels, company logos, and other details to finished products.
• Packing products: They may pack finished products for shipping.

Requirements

• Assembling products: Putting parts together by hand or with power tools or hand tools
• Operating machinery: Using machinery to perform tasks like drilling/cutting/screwing
• Monitoring production: Ensuring that high-quality products are being made and that production quotas and deadlines are met
• Maintaining equipment: Setting up and maintaining production equipment, and reporting equipment faults to maintenance
• Quality checks: Performing basic quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications
• Cleaning: Keeping work areas and the facility floor clean and free of hazards
• Packing: Packing finished products for shipping
• Following guidelines: Adhering to production guidelines and safety guidelines at all times
• Working with others: Working with other factory workers to ensure the production area is clean and safe

Production Manager
