JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. Organize, monitor and ensure manufacturing processes operated with minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.

2. Initiates, implements, and manages the processes improvement program based on best practices in the metal drum making industry, with an emphasis on productivity and product quality.

3. Ensure all manufacturing processes are adhering to all Regulatory and Statutory Requirement.

4. Work with HR Department and assure that employee grievances are addressed in a timely fashion.

5. Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians and engineering staff.

6. Maintain and ensure work safety and practices. Also continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.

7. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.

8. Evaluate, Train and Maintain individual skills (including work performance) are keeping up to date with best engineering management concepts and practices.

9. Ensure on time submission of overtime record to HR Dept for computation of monthly salary.

10. Establish and prepare process documentation such as work instruction, process specifications and assist on the quality plan.

11. Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving production-related problems.

12. Ensures that subordinates are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

13. Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the staff.

14. Communicate regularly with all production and maintenance teams, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning production and maintenance issues.

15. Assist in hiring of production personnel.

16. Maintain and update operating manuals for all the manufacturing equipment and facilities.

17. Maintain and update operating training manuals for all manufacturing processes.

18. Perform any other ad-hoc projects or tasks to be assigned by the HOD / Management from time to time.

Skill/Experience

* Minimum 2-3 years working experience in manufacturing environment.

* Able to supervise and lead the subordinates.

* Willing to work after working hour or during non-working days.

* Able to work under pressure.

* Computer literate.

* Knowledge in ISO is an advantage.

About our Production Engineering Team:

Responsibilities

• Learn and participate in end-to-end ownership to one of Liftoff's core backend infrastructure, including large scale real-time data processing pipelines and high-performance front end servers.
• Improve tooling and infrastructure to ship multiple times a day with quantified impact on millions of users and our business's revenue.
• Be part of an “engineering excellence” culture through state-of-the-art tools, risk-driven testing, explainable systems and code review.
• Become an expert in cutting-edge open source technologies (Kubernetes, Prometheus, ArgoCD and etc) that maximize software development velocity.
• Participate in architecting, building and maintaining infrastructure reliability of large scale, high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
• Together with other engineering teams, you will share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents.
• Pro-actively learn and seek mentorship from more senior members of the team

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science with 2+ years of professional experience, or
  MS in Computer Science with 1+ years of professional experience, or equivalent for mid level
  We are also open to new grads with BS / MS in Computer Science for entry level
• Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms;
• An incredible desire for quality and perfection, and the ability to temper it when necessary to ship.
• Knowledge of profiling and debugging distributed microservices is a plus
• Experience building monitoring for modern microservice architectures is a plus
• Experience building CI/CD for large distributed systems or backend architectures (preferably on Kubernetes) is a plus
• Have good team communication and collaboration skills.
• Passionate about helping others and invested in the team’s success
• Good at English (speaking, reading and writing)

Bonus:

• Experience in SRE / DevOps roles.
• Understanding of various security standards, protocols and implementation details.
• Previous professional experience writing in Golang, Java, Scala, Python, NodeJS, C or C++.

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following is our salary range for this role in Singapore: 85,000 - 105,000 SGD
