• Supports all legal business matters pertaining to the APAC region
• Provides a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients and legal APAC community
• Acts as an advisor on legal issues involving the organization’s government and regulatory compliance
• Reviews legal data and advises organizations on appropriate legal action to be taken
• Coordinates and monitors the legal matters handled by outside counsels and ensures the legal panel is updated based on the needs of the regional organization
• Advises and supports on general corporate and commercial matters, including corporate governance and organization, drafting transactional documents, digital product license terms and conditions, commercial law, employment law, immigration law, intellectual property and technology law, data privacy, competition law, tax law, risk management,, contract management, and dispute resolution
• Supports of the APAC Legal Leaders Forum in terms of driving agenda creation, organization and planning

To Qualify

• A recognized degree in Law
• Significant corporate experience with min 2 -5 years of legal experience gained in-house or in practice with a reputable law firm.
• Ability to work well under pressure

Job Description:

The CPPS group is seeking a highly motivated senior research engineer or lead research engineer to lead and conduct R&D in Industry 5.0 smart manufacturing solutions and integrating digital technologies with AI-enabled physical production systems that promote human-centricity, environmental sustainability, and value chain resilience in manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in controls, integration and PLC programming. The key roles & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct R&D in novel adaptive and autonomous control algorithms for scalable self-learning, self-optimizing and self-recovery production systems
• Work with a team of engineers and scientist to design and implement integrated IIOT and AI-enabled production systems for smart manufacturing
• Understand autonomous manufacturing domain and provide innovative solutions to industry problems in this area
• Familiarity with industry communication protocols such as OPC-UA, MQTT, Profibus, and RS-232 is an advantage

Job Requirement:

Masters or Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on controls, integration and automation

1-3 years experience in industry and/or R&D projects in the area of controls and IIOT (min. 5 years for Lead Research Engineer)

• Develop and program PLCs and other control systems, utilizing platforms like TwinCAT, EcoStruxure, Codesys and others
• Ability to apprehend and/or interpret electrical circuit diagrams is a strong advantage
• Excellent technical presentation and writing skills
• Can-do attitude and able to work with different needs of various stakeholders
• Proactive team player and technically motivated to solve problems innovatively
