Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Production Support Specialist with recent experience in Java J2EE applications to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Support and Maintenance:
· Provide support for Java J2EE applications, ensuring smooth operation and resolving issues promptly.
· Troubleshoot and debug web applications, batch jobs, and middleware services like JBoss.
· Work with databases such as MariaDB and use SQL queries for troubleshooting and analysis.
2. Technical Expertise:
· Utilize Unix commands and scripting for routine operations.
· Manage job scheduling tools, MQ setup, and Connect:Direct (C:D) configurations.
· Monitor and maintain applications to meet defined SLAs.
3. Collaboration and Problem-Solving:
· Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
· Take ownership of tasks and follow through to resolution with a focus on quality.
4. Continuous Improvement:
· Stay updated with industry trends and developed knowledge of the banking domain (if applicable).
· Exhibit a willingness to learn and expand technical skills, including shell scripting and job scheduling.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
• A bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
Technical Skills:
• Recent experience working with Java J2EE applications.
• Intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience with:
· SQL (query writing and analysis).
· Linux/Unix commands and environments.
· Web applications, batch jobs, and middleware tools like JBoss.
• Familiarity with job scheduling, MQ setup, and Connect:Direct configurations is a plus.
• Exposure to the banking industry is advantageous.
