• Ensures that batch and operating log sheets are correctly recorded and complied. Follows Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles when executing instructions and recording data, and adheres to Document Error management procedures if document error is observed.
• Communicates clearly with his supervisors and colleagues and at the end of his shift, hand-over to the following shift technicians highlighting production status and any items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Do engineering-related work with technicians during process runs, plant configuration during the campaign change over or maintenance using handtools. E.g.: filters change, equipment replacement and other plant-care type engineering work. Prepares plant and equipment for engineering maintenance.
• Inspects and maintains house-keeping of his assigned area for clean and safe working conditions as well as ensuring that personal protection equipment, safety and fire-fighting equipment are maintained ready for use.
• Carries out fire fighting / first-aid duties as assigned and trained.
• Carries out other related duties as assigned by the Shift Team Leader /Shift Production Leader.
• Initiate, encourage and implement Lean Sigma activities and implement JDI projects that lead to reduce overall cost and improve cost effectiveness e.g. improve equipment reliability, standardization, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Diploma certificate from Polytechnic
• Holder of ITC / NTC 2 or NTC 3 with some experience in related field
• Familiar with good manufacturing practices, safety procedures
• Trouble shooting skill
• Basic awareness of industrial standards
• Able to work in a fast pace environment
• Good knowledge in maintenance and operating principles of production
• Good communications skills

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and manage production operations with emphasis on volume, quality, cost and yield.
• Ensure employees’ productivity and instill high quality standards throughout the production process.
• Determine and ensure sufficient materials are planned to ensure continuous productivity.
• Ensure consistent and effective employee relations and disciplinary management in the Plant.
• Co-ordinate with relevant groups to ensure resolution of issues.
• Ensure assembly operations, written procedures are followed and where necessary to set up new procedure and systems to facilitate and exercise controls.
• To ensure planned and routine maintenance of machines and tools.
• Maintain good housekeeping and discipline, to foster a conducive and effective working environment as well as perform duties as and when assigned or requested.
• Enforce health and safety measures.

Job Requirements

• Must possess a Technical/Engineering, Degree, Diploma or related qualifications
• Have a minimum of five years’ experience in heavy metal fabrication - Aluminium and Stainless Steel or related industry.
• Demonstrate strong leadership organizing and communication skills.
• Preferably Mandarin speaking candidates to communicate with Mandarin speaking associates
• Required skill (s) : MS Excel, MS Office
• Preferably Managers specializing in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
