Key Responsibilities:

As a CNC Tool Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in fabricating precision metal cutting tools. Your responsibilities will include:

• CNC Tool Grinding: Operate a 5-axes CNC tool grinding machine to fabricate metal cutting tools according to job sheet requirements.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret basic drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Quality Control: Use measuring equipment, gauges, and fixtures for accurate inspection checks to ensure the quality of tools.
• Production Records: Maintain up-to-date production records and reports, accurately documenting work performed.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Communication: Update the Production Supervisor on job status and report any non-conformance issues raised during the fabrication process.
• Compliance: Adhere to ISO requirements and safety regulations to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
• Equipment and Work Area Maintenance: Take responsibility for keeping equipment and the work area clean and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.

Job Description

• Generate and prepare manufacturing work order documents
• Update daily production output, non-conforming quantities, etc which are required for department KPI compilation
• Update delivery schedule and submit to Admin for Delivery Order (DO) preparations
• Data entry into ERP for inventory and costing purposes
• General administrative support for the department where required

Job Requirements

• Min. secondary school qualifications
• Able to work independently
• Basic computer skills (eg. able to do data entry into Microsoft Excel)
• Experience in intepreting simple technical drawings is an advantage

Duties

• Manage daily productions and ensure efficiency of operations, including capacity planning, loading and optimization
• Monitor and day-to-day operations to ensure productivity by ERP system
• Planning and scheduling work deployments daily
• Communicate and report updates to Technical Director to review and support processes
• Development and oversight of staff appraisal and supervision systems
• Resolving performance issues among staff
• Handle customer concerns and resolving them immediately
• Ensure all machines are well maintained and coordinate servicing & repair with service team
• Develop operations-related plans, manufacturing budgets and policies & procedures to comply with ISO and AS standards.
• Review and propose new strategies to achieve better efficiency in production

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct business operations in alignment with company policies
• Manage plan changes, including internal and external communications, HR and related technical issues
• Oversee and drive the production team to meet company objectives and KPI.
• Reinforce internal policies, business planning, procedures and quality standards on all practices executed by staff
• Improve manufacturing capability, technologies and problem solving in conjunction with quality & engineering requirement
• Development of workforce plans including competency frameworks to meet operational requirements of organization
• Cultivate safeguarding against unexpected operational incidents that affect business continuity
• Undertake other tasks including administrative duties in connection with the post
• Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supervising in engineering production industry
• Experience in managing a workforce of 50 or more people preferred
• Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma in Mechanical /Manufacturing Engineering field preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with staff, clients and suppliers
• Efficient project management, problem solving & decision-making skills
• Takes initiative and is assertive/aggressive
