Assistant to the HOD:
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement improvement plans for the manufacturing department, and summarize these improvements in reports.
Production Scheduling and Materials Management:
• Oversee production schedules to maximize resource efficiency and ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials necessary for production.
Production Monitoring and Reporting:
• Track and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to production output, yield, and quality. Address deviations and report findings to the department head.
Factory Automation:
• Work with the Equipment Engineering team to implement and continuously enhance factory automation plans, aiming for advanced automation levels.
Production Capacity Improvement:
• Plan and execute strategies to enhance production capacity and efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements, and implement measures to reduce defects and rework.
Manufacturing Cost Reduction:
• Develop and apply strategies to lower manufacturing costs while maintaining quality and safety.
Work Environment Improvement:
• Improve workplace safety and hygiene by creating and updating work procedures.
Facility Troubleshooting:
• Work with relevant departments to address and resolve facility-related issues.
Directing Shift Team Leaders:
• Provide guidance and clear instructions to shift leaders, ensuring effective communication with subordinates.
Emergency Contact:
• Follow the communication plan to notify relevant parties during emergencies.
Job Requirements
Professional Qualifications:
• A degree in business or a high school diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in similar roles within a manufacturing department is advantageous.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document creation.
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., IATF, ISO).
• Basic understanding of Environmental Management Systems.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety is desirable.
• Familiarity with chemical regulations (Laws, SDS, GHS) is desirable.
• Basic understanding of Business Continuity Planning (BCP).       
Competencies:
• Ability to listen effectively and provide appropriate instructions.
• Capable of reporting essential information, including issues and production progress, to the department head.
• Skilled in devising and implementing improvement plans.
