As an Automation Engineer, you will be enabling factory automation solutions to aid backend manufacturing goals on cycle time, inventory, quality and productivity. You are expected to assimilate core expertise on mechanical or electrical design, sub-components, industry best practices, safety requirements. You must collaborate with network teams - site automation, central/ site PEE, procurement, safety EHS - for surfacing opportunities, selecting solution providers, standardizing design, reviewing safety standards. You will build strategic partnership with automation vendors and drive their roadmap to align to Micron needs.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Establish standards to enable automation solutions
• Standardize mechanical and electrical design, sub-assemblies, process control & vision solutions
• Ensure supplier compliance to safety & ergonomic standards, both SEMI and country specific codes
• Standardize design for WIP carriers - FOUPS, Cassette, Magazine, JEDEC tray, PCB Racks etc
• Develop and review process tool automation requirements (TAR) catered to AMHS & Stocker interfaces
• Augment factory tool layout standards catered to AMHS, stockers and ASRS requirements
• Publish Design for Automation guidelines on new products

Review opportunities and build roadmap on global factory automation
• Approve design review on automation solutions
• Ensure standardization on designs across the network based on BKMs or prototyping experience
• Review technical procurement specification (Doc2/TAR) provided to vendors
• Establish & review ROI analysis methodology

Strategic partnership with automation solution provider
• Performs research and survey on industrial best practices and automation direction

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science in fields such as mechanical, electrical, industrial, computer or automation.

Associate Operator, Production is a member of the operations team, responsible for the manufacturing of top quality Zytel® products in adherence to the established Company Core Values, operations and safety policies and procedures.

Duties:

• Handle daily operational tasks and participate in plant troubleshooting
• Perform field logging, routine sampling and plant testing work
• Collect in-process sampling at tankfarm
• Prepare process equipment for mechanical work according to SOP procedures
• Carry out loading/unloading and raw material charging activities if necessary
• Operates utility and process plant
• High awareness of job safety and housekeeping

• Able to perform simple troubleshoot independently (after training)

The position

This position is responsible for handling edging and mounting prescriptions lenses into customer’s frames and ensuring the finished spectacle is in good condition before sending it to customers.

The following is a detailed, but not exhaustive, listing of the hands-on tasks you will undertake in the role:

Edging & Mounting

· Receive and unpack lenses from the lens envelope, first check on the lenses condition.

· Checking lenses by using the lensometer to ensure the lens power is accurate and do marking for the optical center and axis according to the orders request.

· Perform tracer machine to trace on the spectacle frame/ lens to get the lens shape and size.

· Operate edging machine to edge the lenses into lens shape that required, and gently mounting it on customer’s frame.

· Operate drilling and grooving machine to fulfill Rimlon and Rimless frame requirements.

· Retouch or chamfer the lenses by machine/ hand edge when needed. E.g., lens oversize, transfer frame etc.

· Quality check for every job to ensure meets the company’s standard, before sending it out to customers.

Other

· Keep all the machine and accessories clean and put it in place.

· Perform machine maintenance and calibration on time.

· Keep the workplace (Edging room) clean and tidy.
