JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Strategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods to create plant equipment preventive maintenance procedures.
• Support in the planning of routine maintenance of production equipment.
• Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults, and lead time critical equipment repairs. Implement preventive measures to improve machine reliability.
• Work with reliability engineers to improve equipment performance and extend equipment useful life cycle.
• Oversee and control maintenance costs. Manage budget for equipment upgrades and replacements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in equipment operating concepts and maintenance techniques.
• Function as project development member to install or upgrade equipment. Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.
• Support Plant EHS and quality initiatives and targets.                                                          
• Responsible for developing budgets and long-range plans based on company growth and future maintenance needs.         

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance (corrective, preventive, predictive) of plant equipment, wet process and dryer, dry blending and packaging, Clean In Place systems, warehouse in comply with the Site Safety and GMP procedures to ensure good uptime and good MTBF.
• Responsible for support the equipment qualification and validation, such as walkdown, punch list commissioning, IQ/ OQ/ PQ for any new project.
• Responsible for execution of work order and record job performed via MAXIMO system.
• Responsible for writing Job Aids and Maintenance SOP writing, CCA and ER investigation.
• Manage and lead contractor, vendors and service providers to perform maintenance or project works.
• Responsible for Maintenance budge for area of responsibilities
• Lead and Take part in continuous improvement efforts/ projects.
• May act as delegate to the Engineering Manager when required.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist to be a guardian of the improvement process for Tuas Factory. In this role, you will coordinate and drive factory initiatives to develop, implement and maintain sustainable improvements, cost reduction and competitiveness whilst maintaining Nestle Quality Standards. You will ensure and optimize the use of resources through the identification and elimination of losses. You will serve as a center ofexpertise for dissemination, guidance and implementation of focused improvement methodologies in the market. Also, as the Focused Improvement (FI) Pillar Leader, you will drive the implementation of the FI Pillar of TPM methodology at the factory. You will coach and support pillar members, integrate and support the rest of the pillars and local committee. You will serve as Factory Goal Alignment (GA) Pillar specialist and is responsible for training,coaching and assessing people within the factory on GA practices.

A day in the life of…

• Actively support the teams in the TPM activities on the shopfloor.
• Coach the pillar leaders and members.
• Promote and support cross-fertilisation of ideas, knowledge, standards and improvements.
• Coordinate the support from external consultants if applicable.
• Motivate & empower people through positive attitude and stimulate change in traditional mindset.

• Leadership of projects for improvements - Drive Factory initiatives to develop, implement and maintain sustainable improvements, cost reduction and competitiveness whilst maintaining Nestle Quality Standards.
• Report & validation of project results - Monitoring the implementation of improvement intitatives within the factory, ensure that the benefits are properly measured and that the impact on production costs are clearly identified. Results are communicated to stakeholders.
• Training & methodological support - Practice and serve as a mentor to the leaders of focused improvement projects in the factory. Conducting and implementation of continuous improvement tools within the factory. Coordination of CI team activiti es (training, team formation, monitoring of progress, information sharing).
• Technical support for production including using industrial performance tools to ensure successful troubleshooting and debottlenecking of process flow related to equipment. Conduct on his own focused improvement projects, or coordinate and lead multi-functional teams to improve.
• Training, coaching and assessment for the factory and the local committees on GA practices.
• Responsible to implement safety and environment practices in the workplace.

What will make you successful

• Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or related fields
• 3 to 6 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity

Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements

 Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Must be process oriented and organized.

 Knowledge in RSA User and Token Administration.

 Knowledge on open systems (Windows/AD/Unix/Linux/DB), scripting languages and excel macros for automation is a plus.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
