Main purpose of the job
The primary role of a Global Category Manager – Marketing Communications is to lead and implement procurement strategies, vision, and governance across the organization. This position heads the Procurement team, fostering unity across regions and promoting the sharing of best practices and knowledge. Alongside adhering to established governance, policies, and processes, the role involves protecting the company's assets and reputation through effective internal control systems, procedures, and legal compliance. The role is also responsible for driving sustainable procurement and procurement innovation strategies, as well as creating and implementing category strategies. Responsibilities include executing strategic sourcing plans to maximize business value, building and enhancing stakeholder relationships across all procurement activities, and managing supplier partnerships. The Global Category Manager also manages, and tracks plans and budgets against objectives, key value drivers, and related KPIs. Risk management, with a focus on price volatility, supplier stability, and product or service availability, is a key part of the role. The ultimate goal of the role is to contribute to operational excellence in Procurement and drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with Asahi's overall strategy and external benchmarks.
Accountabilities and deliverables
1. Implement Procurement purpose, vision, strategies and governance.
2. Lead Procurement team overseeing the definition and execution of functional goals.
3. Promote one team spirit between all regions to enable sharing of best practices and knowledge.
4. Support Global Procurement People strategy and culture (incl. DEI, employee engagement and well-being).
5. Self-manage adherence to defined governance, policies, and processes.
6. Protect all company’s assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures.
7. Protect reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.
8. Drive Sustainable Procurement (incl. CSR) and Procurement innovation strategies and projects.
9. Create and implement category strategies.
10. Execute strategic sourcing plans to maximize the value for the business.
11. Build and enhance strong stakeholder relationship across all Procurement activities.
12. Develop and maintain strong partnership with suppliers including performance and quality assurance.
13. Manage and track plans and budgets including objectives, key value drivers and related KPIs.
14. Risk management focusing on extended agenda: price volatility, supplier stability, and product or service availability.
15. Contribute to achieving operational excellence for Procurement, including its processes and systems.
16. Drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks.

WadzPay are looking for an experienced and innovative talent Marketing Manager to join our team and lead marketing initiatives for our blockchain products and services. The ideal candidate will have a background in digital marketing with a passion for Web3 technologies and an understanding of decentralized ecosystems, blockchain trends, and community-driven marketing strategies. This role will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to increase product awareness, grow and manage community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote blockchain-based products, services, and solutions.
Design and execute multi-channel campaigns that align with the goals of the project
Lead community-building initiatives on platforms like Telegram, Discord, Reddit, and other relevant channels
Engage with community members to foster a loyal user base, address concerns, and drive engagement
Organize and participate in community events, AMAs, and online discussions
Create compelling content (articles, blogs, videos, podcasts, social media posts) to educate and engage the audience on Web3 topics.
Collaborate with community managers to provide timely and transparent updates, AMAs, and regular product information
Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce high-quality promotional materials
Manage and grow the brand’s social media presence on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging Web3 social platforms
Monitor social media trends, platform developments, and competitor strategies within the Web3 landscape
Monitor, analyse, and report on marketing metrics to measure campaign effectiveness
Use analytics tools like Google Analytics, on-chain analytics, and social listening platforms to understand user behaviour and campaign impact
Coordinate with external partners, including advertising networks, PR firms, and Web3 ecosystem partners, to drive brand reach and credibility
Stay updated on industry regulations, crypto advertising policies, and relevant compliance standards to ensure adherence
Proactively manage potential risks, handling reputation management issues, and maintaining the brand’s integrity
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Masters / Bachelor’s in Marketing & Communications or Business Management
3-5 years in digital marketing, with at least 1 year focused on blockchain/Web3
Understanding of blockchain technology, decentralized applications, and Web3 products.
Proficiency with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools, social media management platforms).
Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in an engaging and accessible way.
Knowledge of community management on Web3 platforms and social channels.
Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making.
