Job Description

Manage technical surveyors, coordinate and arrange surveys and audits

Manage and supervise the responsibility for survey and audit activities of vessels and equipment within the office's jurisdiction

Coordinate with governments, including the Japanese government, regarding certification services

Training and performance evaluation of technical surveyors

Responding to technical inquiries and providing technical advice from clients, including shipowners and ship management companies

Liaison with Head Office in Japan

Verification of technical documents and certificates

Establish and maintain quality management system

Required skills and qualifications

Five or more years of experience in maritime industry

Experience in ship survey and audit activities as well as management

Knowledge of ship classification and statutory requirements

• Work together with Project Director to ensure project progress meet project submission, project schedule including coordinating activities and resolving problems
• Managing the work activities and performance of the subcontractors, supervisors and workers and liaise with clients, relevant authorities and consultants to resolve bottlenecks
