JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Traveling to shipyard/docking area where the vessel is located.
• Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems.
• Carrying out overhaul/troubleshooting of main engines and generators.
• Completing service records and repair documents; maintains paper work documentation
  of work performed in a complete and timely manner including timesheet, service reports,
  parts returns and other repair related reports deemed necessary.
• Ensure all repair procedures are carried out according to the service manual instructions.
• Ensure service jobs are completed efficiently within the standard job hour guidelines.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, maintaining good housekeeping
• To perform in-house and on-site calibration.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificates, diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven work experience as a marine mechanic.
• Ability to work in engine room onboard vessel.
• Ability to work offshore.
• Abide by all safety standard and practices while working in the workshop and field/site at
  all times.
• Communicate well technically and efficiently to all levels of service staff and customers.

Responsibilities

* Service / Maintenance of motor vehicles (Petrol & Diesel) including engine checks, chassis checks, battery checks and identify mechanical defects or faults and replace defective or worn parts.

* Overhaul and test major components such as engines, transmission systems and electrical systems.

* Fundamental electrical knowledge to troubleshoot electrical systems and usage of Engine Diagnostic Equipment to troubleshoot “Check Engine Light’ and identify electrical faults, perform repairs and replace defective parts.

* Experienced in electrical wirings to install accessories like reverse camera, driving video recorder, alarm security system and audio system.

* Experienced in air-conditioning systems repairs and preventive maintenances.

* Ability to operate Tyre Changer Equipment to mount or dismount tyres on wheel rims.

* Provide roadside assistance to troubleshoot, identify and rectify faults on spot.

* Attend to customer’s enquiries, requests, feedbacks and concerns on vehicle related issues.

* Ensure compliance to health and safety policies and procedures in the course of work inside workshop area at times.

* Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the workshop area thru good housekeeping.

* Perform assigned ad-hoc duties.

* Observe good personal hygiene and obey safe distancing measures at all times.
