Job Responsibilties

• Coordinating all O&M and plant outage activities to achieve safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Power Station
• Supporting and liaising with relevant Asset/Operation departments for long term power station turnaround planning

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Optical Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for optical components and systems. The ideal candidate will have 3 years background in optical engineering, manufacturing techniques, and quality control processes, ensuring the production of high-precision optical products. Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Development and Optimization:
   • Design and implement manufacturing processes for optical components, including lenses, mirrors, prisms, and coatings.

2. Production Support:

Job Description

• Carry out troubleshooting and corrective action of instrument breakdown or failures to find out the root cause and best solution in order to restore the functionality get back to normal
• Respond to technical queries from operation personnel and provide advice/solution according to best engineering practice to address issues which affect the operation of the power plant
• Follow C&I work instructions and propose changes for improvement where necessary
• Lead the execution of shutdown works for instrumentation to ensure completion of shutdown work on time
• Work closely with various sections to coordinate cross-functional maintenance works
• Perform risk assessment prior to start of work and conduct on-job risk assessment to identify residual risks associated with the planned/unplanned work
• Monitor spare parts and inventory for critical instrumentation to ensure availability when required in order to minimize unplanned outages. Establish new inventory/cataloging where necessary. Update information in the inventory to ensure that it is relevant for the current operation.
• Provide technical inputs in full cycle of procurement processes for materials and service requisition where required so that all technical requirements are addressed properly to protect company’s interest
• Identify, study, propose, and implement area for improvement in the field of instrumentation engineering to enhance operation and improve overall equipment reliability

Job Requirements

• Possess a degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering with at least three (3) years of working experience in the instrumentation field, or a diploma in the same fields with at least seven (7) years of working experience in instrumentation field
• Proficient in the codes and standards in the power plant industry i.e. BSI, ISO27001, ANSI, IEC, IEEE, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a team player and able to work with all levels of management and multinational staff
• Hands-on experience in field instrumentation and sensors of different makes
• Proficient in power plant DCS and HMI systems, specifically experience with ABB Advant DCS, GE Alspa DCS will be an advantage

Duties

JOB SUMMARY

This is a detection engineering role that leverages knowledge of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to cyber events and incidents to develop and implement effective monitoring and alerting for information systems and networks. This role is responsible for developing and tuning Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and User Entity and Behavior Analytics (UEBA) content to monitor critical IT infrastructure and application logged events to detect cybersecurity and insider threats across the Marriott enterprise. This role produces high-quality documentation pertaining to detection development, monitoring logic, and other content creation tasks. This role will also lead collaboration sessions for security monitoring use case ideation with partners in the cyber security tower and other business units.

Core Responsibilities

Most Often:

• Lead collaboration sessions within the cyber security tower and other business units to devise security monitoring use cases. This work entails the collection and collaborative analysis of security accreditation reports, threat models, documented security controls, architecture, and business usage patterns for security monitoring consideration.
• Engage and collaborate with other security engineers and architects as needed to keep pace with the evolution of corporate infrastructure and applications and share that knowledge with peers as appropriate.
• Document prospective security monitoring use cases with MITRE ATT&ACK mappings using standard templates and methodologies. Identified use cases will be reviewed with stakeholders for acceptance sign-off and to move forward with development.
• Inform and consult other cyber ops teams of required data onboarding and integrations for use case development.

• Analyse test results, summarise and communicate these with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Challenge and develop Dyson engineering practices to continuously improve design quality.
• Define plans, monitor progress and report to management on technical risks.
• Take an active, hands-on role to ensure that all engineering problems are resolved thoroughly.

About you

• A degree in a relevant engineering, product design discipline or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ industry experience
• Sound understanding of basic mechanical/product design principles and the development of products and technologies through prototyping and testing.
• Proven ability to communicate through a variety of media.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate your work, and others
• Technical and personal credibility to work effectively in cross-functional design teams throughout the project development cycle.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of multiple tooling and manufacturing techniques.
• Proven experience of delivering creative design solutions that improve upon existing product designs.
• A creative and considered approach to problem solving, following clear design processes.
• Practical and methodical design development through hands on rig building, prototyping, and testing.
• Ability to plan ahead, prioritise tasks and coordinate with the work of others.
• Good commercial awareness with pragmatic approach to balance cost and value.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
