Role: Civil QC Engineer

Position Overview:

The Civil QC Engineer is responsible for QAQC activities of civil construction works, including materials, processes, and workmanship throughout a project. This role involves quality document review; monitoring site quality control activities; monitoring compliance with standards; and implementing quality control and inspection as per ITPs to deliver projects that meet contract, client specifications, international standards, and Singapore regulatory requirements. This role is essential to providing high-quality, durable, and safe civil engineering projects while maintaining efficiency and minimizing risks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take part in reviewing/developing quality documents, such as ITPs, and quality control procedures.

2. Conduct site monitoring for quality.

3. Conduct/witness daily inspection, and sign off inspection report/checklists/test report as per ITPs.

4. Take part in developing quality training materials as per project quality requirements, and technical specifications. Conduct quality training for subcontractors’ QC inspectors and site supervisors.

5. Take part in project external quality audits to subcontractors by project audit procedures to ensure compliance with subcontract, project specifications, codes, and Singapore regulatory requirements. Identify non-conformities and work with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

6. Regularly monitor project KPIs, and ensure out-of-target KPIs are identified and raised to applicable subcontractors for root cause analysis, in the meantime, report to the QAQC manager.

7. Coordinate with discipline engineers, subcontractors, the client, and third-party inspectors to ensure project quality requirements are met.

8. Take part in preparing mechanical completion documents before commissioning.

9. Prepare the Turnover Package (TOP) at the project ending stage.

Requirements for the role:

Ø Advanced Diploma or diploma in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.

Ø At least 6 years of relevant civil work QC experience in Civil work in Singapore.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Master degree holders with less experience will be considered.
• Proficiency in CAD, MS office or other design softwares.  Strong analytical and problem solving, critical thinking skills.
• Experiences in ultrapure water treatment, air treatment scrubbers, and thermal oxidizers are preferred.

ACMV Design/Site Engineer - Job Description

1. System Design: Create and optimise air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, including load calculations and equipment selection.

2. Site Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV systems on-site to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.

3. Technical Support: Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical guidance during construction, resolving any issues related to HVAC systems.

4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and installations adhere to local and international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE,Green Mark).

5. Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of ACMV systems into the overall building design.

ACMV Engineer Minimum Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; a diploma with extensive experience may be considered.

2. Professional Accreditation: Registration with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore; Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) is advantageous.

3. Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in HVAC or ACMV design, preferably within Singapore.

4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP); strong understanding of Singapore's SS 553, SS 530, and SS 531 standards.

5. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of local building codes, fire safety regulations, and BCA standards, including Green Mark Certification requirements.

6. Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.

7. Continuing Education: Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as required by professional bodies like IES or PEB

Job Responsibilties

• Coordinating all O&M and plant outage activities to achieve safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Power Station
• Supporting and liaising with relevant Asset/Operation departments for long term power station turnaround planning
• Assist to implement modern O&M practices, tools and techniques for safe, reliable and efficient Power Station operation
• To fully develop and utilize the CMMS for efficient and effective O&M Planning practice and co-ordination with service provider for license management, backup, individual account management and software upgrade
• Fully utilizing the CMMS to ensure all O&M activities and experiences are recorded to comply with Station, legislative and company policy requirements
• To assist fully with and help implement all HSE practices and a Quality Management System as applied to the Power Station
• Perform review on maintenance plans, monthly maintenance report and consolidation of planned and unplanned outage reports
• Review the completeness and organize the filing of departmental documentations
• Additional tasks and responsibilities given by power plant management
• Provide close and constant liaison between operations and maintenance through the individual coordinators
• Provide data expert analysis and advise on maintenance / operations performance
• Responsible to track , safe keeping of the necessary documentation of “ Management of Change” and ensures the process is closed and updated the changes in CMMS & O&M manuals accordingly
• Preferably with MAXIMO, SAP & PREMAVERA and Microsoft project experience
• Organizing the meetings with 3rd party vendors & MMA( Major Maintenance Agreement) meeting

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma graduate in relevant engineering field
• Knowledge on operation and maintenance activities of Combined Cycle Power Plant
• Knowledge on project management and resource planning
• Knowledge in maintaining maintenance record in CMMS
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Power Plant Maintenance ideally on a CCPP (any manufacturing industry)
• Experience involvement in technical aspects of Power Plant operation and maintenance
• The post holder shall be medically fit and able to undertake the duties of the post and any additional duties as detailed in the Power Station Emergency Response Plan
• Plant availability, plant reliability, work order performance and outage duration
• Administrator for Power Station CMMS system
• Work in all areas of the plant site (both indoor & outdoor environment)

Job Descriptions:

• Prepare designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required.
• Assist for tender team.
• Research on the application and construction technology of new materials.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably with a Degree in Engineering or related studies.
• Tender experience is preferable.
• Minimum 6 years of design engineering experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee day-to-day construction management of project

• Monitor and report to Senior / Project Manager of project progress versus baseline,

including issues and risks in a timely manner

• Conduct VSCC and take charge of ship work safety and cleanliness

• Liaise with trades on the activities and construction effort needed to achieve progress safely, within schedule and budget

• Plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan

to support schedule and cost

• Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented

• Review man hours and duration forecasts to completion and resource requirements

• Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance

• Manage schedule, cost-to-completion (CTC) and POC together with Senior / Project Manager

• Conduct progress meetings to manage issues

• Responsible for planning, scheduling and costing

• Support in project tender when called upon or any other adhoc project duties as required

• Handle warranty issues

• Manage customer expectations at site and maintain good customer relationships

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture
• Preferably possess 1 years experience in newbuild or ship repairs related projects
• Completed Ship Repair Manager Course
• Project Management Skills in the following areas: Planning scheduling and costing, Risk management, Manpower management, Customer Relationship management.
• Able to deal and communicate with people effectively at all levels on the ground, identify and manage issues, cost consciousness and urgency to get things done
• Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera or MS Projects will be advantageous
• Able to work on weekends based on project needs
• Only Singapore Citizens will be considered for this role

Job Responsibilities

· Create firmware specifications based on design rules, internal processes, and product/system requirements.

· Specify, design and develop signal processing algorithms, write codes for mircocontrollers in new and customized industrial sensors and HMI products

· Create and conduct review on test methodologies, validate design performance to specifications, debug embedded software, and document final design.

· Support production implementation in the embedded software perspective

· Collaborate with cross functional teams to sustain product lifecycle including customer complaints, failure analysis, etc.

· Liaising with Headquarter on the technical support and technology transfer.

· Verify regulatory compliance with support from head office.

Job Requirements

· Master / Bachelor in Electronic / Computer Engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum 3 years relevant experience in embedded software design and development.

· Strong knowledge and direct experience with C & C++ programming languages.

· Strong knowledge on digital electronics hardware including I2C, SPI, UART, PWM, ADC, USB, etc.

· Experience in designing, coding, debugging and validating on ARM Cortex microcontrollers are preferred.

· Knowledge on Python & Matlab would be advantage.

· Logical and strong interpersonal with analytical skills, strong team player and independent.
