· Responsible for ensuring that assigned projects meet customer’s specs, strictly follow procedures and schedules

We are currently recruiting for experienced Senior Engineer – Mechanical / Environmental Sustainability to join our Building Services team in Singapore.

You will be joining our Centre of Excellence (CenEx) team, led by one of our Technical Director who was recently conferred the SGBC-BCA Professional Leadership in Sustainability Award.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Leading mechanical services design and environmental sustainability design for building projects.
• Assume responsibility and undertake engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity.
• Carry out site condition assessment, feasibility studies, energy audits and technical due diligence.
• Responsible for analysis of information, production of design, tenders, proposals and technical report writing.
• Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants.
• In charge of jobs control, planning, monitoring, progress and job cost reporting.
• Communicate effectively with the client, sub-consultants, contractors, and other parties relevant to the job.
• Assist in assessment and review of designs prepared by others on behalf of the clients.
• Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance.

Pre-Requisites

• Degree in a Mechanical Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant working experience in the design & supervision of building service projects and Fire Protection.
• Experience in leading roles for design & design management of residential, commercial, institutional or hotel projects will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
• Understanding of energy efficient mechanical systems and equipment with Green Building design experience and knowledge of Green Mark/ LEED is an added advantage.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software and simulation tools.
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
• Able to work independently & exercise initiative.
• Excellent delegation and communication skills, which sees you enlist the help of others to meet objectives

Task and Responsibilities

• Read and understand technical specifications, prepare job-list, work schedule, plan material take off and manpower planning of yard men and contractor for each given jobs. Report department head and update any special materials for specific project (if require more lead time or needs to purchase from overseas)

• Perform other related jobs as assigned by DH.
• Ensure Permit to work system is followed strictly.
• Identify parts and components needed for repairs or replacement and to liaise with regional vendors for replacement of critical spares for vessels.

Job Requirements

3 years and above of relevant experience in ship building & Ship repair industry.

• Possesses in depth knowledge on Marine Machinery Works.
• Able to speak and write in proper English.
• Self-initiative and motivated individual.
• Possesses quality leadership skills to lead and supervise people under their charge.
• Able to give constructing advice based on their qualified experiences.

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related fields

Must have minimum Two (5) year work experience in the servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting on the Sewage water network, pumping station and reclamation plant with ancillary system.

Responsibilities

· Manage & Lead engineering team

· Perform engineering duties such as design, engineering calculations, planning, tender preparation/evaluations to as part of the engineering project team

· Team development

· QA/QC documentation review of engineering deliverables

· Liaison with clients, project managers, architects, contractors

· Resolve any technical problems faced during project design and/or construction stages

· Any other required duties as required by the Project Team.

· Candidate who has knowledge in the application of Bentley BIM models and project scheduling software Primavera P6 will be added as an advantage.

This is a newly created role and we are looking for candidate who has start-up experience in Ship Repair Mechanical functions.

Job responsibilities

• Leading the team of mechanical technicians and common contractors workers
• Oversees and support the execution of ship repair mechanical projects
• Set up and train the mechanical team of technicians to establish an effective,flexible and reliable support base

Job requirements

• GCE 'O' level or at least 5years of supervisory with start-up experience in Ship Repair industry
• Must be comfortable to work in shipyard environment
• Candidate with relevant working experience will be preferred

Responsibilities:

- Produce CNC design solutions for customize specification. Preferably with good technical design and engineering background.
- Produce design for automation
- Make drawings (2D & 3D) in CATIA
- Make parts explosion / BOM list using ENOVIA
- Documentation for fabrication
- Evaluation for design solutions
- Support production for machine modification design
- Do engineering presentations

Requirements:

- Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years related work experience
- 2D & 3D CAD operations; strong in CATIA
