As a Mechanical Architect you will be the driving force for the development of high-tech, highly complex systems for professional mechatronic equipment, and enable optimal functionality and cost effective engineering of those systems. Starting during the pre-concept phase, you act as a counterpart for the Project Manager within T&D for scoping the project and challenging our customer. While going through the different design phases, you will be the driving force who challenges the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of the proposed design solutions, bringing together the multidisciplinary team on a technical level while acting as a technical counterpart on system level with our customers.

Role: Quality Engineer (QE)

Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of construction materials, processes, and workmanship throughout a project. This role involves QA/QC document developing; monitoring site quality control activities; monitoring compliance with standards; implementing quality assurance procedures to deliver projects that meet contract, client specifications, international standards and Singapore regulatory requirements. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, durable, and safe civil engineering projects while maintaining efficiency and minimizing risks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take part in developing QA procedures as per the required by project Quality Assurance Plan.

2. Develop and/or review QC report templates, checklists as per ITPs.

3. Take part in developing quality training materials as per project quality requirements, and technical specifications. Conduct quality training to subcontractors’ QC inspectors and site supervisors.

4. Conduct regular checks for site QC activities and QC report completion.

5. Take part in project internal quality audits in accordance with project audit procedure to ensure compliance with company ISO 9001 QMS, Singapore regulatory requirements. Identify non-conformities and work with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

6. Take part in project external quality audits to subcontractors in accordance with project audit procedure to ensure compliance with subcontract, project specifications, codes, and Singapore regulatory requirements. 7. Regularly monitor project KPIs, ensure out-of-target KPIs are identified and raised to applicable subcontractors for root cause analysis, at the meantime, report to QAQC manager.

You will be responsible for the design and development of new high-speed custom automation. You will lead the machine development process and guide the activities of tooling design engineers, overseeing the machine lifecycle from quoting to mechanical design and delivery scheduling.

Our Team

You will collaborate closely with the Mass Production, Quality, Product Design, Tooling Design, and Machine Build Teams. This position is part of the DSS Manufacturing Services division and focuses on automation shop activities, design, and project management.

What You Will Do

• Provides assembly feasibility (Design for Manufacturability) and equipment cost estimates to the new product development team.
• Works with engineering department to determine design complete dates. Prioritizes work and delegates work assignments to designer engineers.
• Designs new connector and cable manufacturing machinery utilizing the Siemens NX CAD software.
• Assists in developing and executing the machine qualification plan.
• · Provides technical support for the launch of equipment produced by the LR-Automation Team. Responsibilities will include traveling to mass production facilities for machine install & qualification, training of technicians and operators to ensure the proper and safe operation of equipment and developing re-tooling strategies.
• Attends Design Reviews and PFMEA’s while working with design engineers to improve current and future designs of automation.
• Tracks projects using internal methods for summarizing component cost, labor, and leadtime. Develops accurate, up-to-date BOM’s and Spare Tooling Lists
• Understands, supports, and contributes to complete projects according to internal product development procedures, TQM and IS/QS-9000 requirements. Embraces Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• International Travel: Up to 20% per year.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX or a comparable 3D CAD package.
• Experience with high-speed synchronous, asynchronous, and flexible (robotics) assembly systems.

What Will Put You Ahead

• PMP Project Management Certificate along with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of machine building techniques.
• Experience in scheduling and budgeting.
• Design experience with electrical connectors or cable assemblies and/or automotive assemblies.
• Mechanical cam/linkage analysis experience and toolmaking knowledge.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems design standards and machine wiring & industrial electrical logic.

Position Overview

Responsibilities

1. Research, develop and optimize computer vision/deep learning algorithms for image applications, such as, object recognition, face recognition, video analytics, image quality enhancement, and 3D reconstruction.

2. Explore, design and implement new algorithms/features according to marketing requirements.

3. Algorithm testing and verification.

4. Algorithm integration in system architecture.

Requirements

1. Ph.D. or MS with equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related disciplines such as Applied Mathematics/Statistics.

2. Broad knowledge in various computer vision related topics such as deep learning, object recognition (detection, classification, segmentation) and tracking, stereo, and/or 3D reconstruction; candidate with image sensor knowledge is a plus.

3. Strong knowledge and extensive hands-on experience of independent algorithm research; candidate with strong mathematics background is a plus.

4. Excellent C/C++ programming skills, proficient with scripting languages (e.g. Python or Matlab), and extensive experience with OpenCV.

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
