JOB DESCRIPTION

* Design and develop Mechanical Equipment/Systems, keeping in mind budget, timelines and other essential resources.

* Work with a team of Engineers in the creation of new product designs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

* Utilized CAD Software to create 3D Models and details drawings for new product development.

* Implemented design modifications and optimizations to streamlne the assembly process.

* Collaborate with cross functional teams including product management, manufacturing and quality assurance to ensure successful product development and launch.

* Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them.

* Research and keep up with the Dynamic Technology and trends in the mechanical design spectrum.

REQUIREMENTS

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

* Knowledge in dealing with Engineering Drawings and 3D Modelling.

* Experience working with designing software - Solidworks and Autocad.

* Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience as Mechanical Design Engineer.

* Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Strong verbal, written and communicatin skills.

* Sound knowledge of Computer Application and Microsoft Office.

* Willing to work on weekends and travel occassionally if required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading the planning and design of Mechanical engineering works for building services and infrastructure works.
• Review reports, specifications, calculations, drawings and other documents prepared for the different stages of a project.
• Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of Mechanical engineering works.
• Work together with other disciplines in feasibility studies and design, as well as to ensure excellent service delivery to Clients.
• Job Title will correspond with project experience acquired and individual competency in technical knowledge/skills, project management and contract administration.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Ideally registered with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in Mechanical engineering design for building services and infrastructure works.
• Good working experience in a consulting firm with a proven track record in major development projects.
• Conversant with local codes and regulations, and authority submission procedures.
• Strong planning, organizational and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Revit is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

·    To follow up on a job from start till end of project from quotation to on site job till invoicing and service report
· To lead teams of technicians to follow through on projects

· To work independently to execute engine general repair and overhaul jobs on board/ at site.

· Knowledge on performing dismantling, repair, replacement and reassembling of mechanical parts

· To troubleshoot and advise repair proposals on breakdown and operation of the machinery

· Conduct daily tool box meetings with teams prior to job commencement and ensuring safe work practices at all times

· Ensure all repairs, maintenance & overhaul jobs are completed in a timely manner

· Delivering high quality service standard to customer's satisfaction.

· Preparing quotations for new enquiries, controlling cost of job within budget

· Prepare service reports post project completion

· Planning of job methodology and work schedule

· Liaising with customers to ensure smooth communication to complete a job

· Coordinate with local or overseas agents for job deployment and preparation

Requirements:

· Possess at least Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or Above

· Possess minimum 3 years experience in ship repair in Singapore

· Capable of liaison with customers and maintaining client relationship

· Good organization, planning and project management skills

· Highly organized person who can work with tight schedules to cater to the different arrival times of ships

· Must be willing to perform HANDS-ON work in mechanical repairs, installations and removal

· Able to provide technical assistance in all aspects of work

· Independent, resourceful, pro-active and team player

· Willing to work on site, on board vessels and in workshop with occasional irregular hours

· Passionate to work in the Marine Industry

· Good command of spoken and written English

Job Descriptions:

• To ensure all the maintenance works carried out systematically, efficiently & safely.

• To be the initiator and coordinator of MOC for any addition, modification and replacement in the system.
