We are hiring a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to be based at our Singapore office. This role will provide technical support in mechanical engineering; working with the Building Services Lead in managing project inputs and deliverables, and project management. Main duties:

• Work closely with the Building Services Lead the candidate should be self-disciplined and able to work independently.
• Perform engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications etc.) for, building M&E infrastructure, particularly in Healthcare and/or Data Center projects.
• Review and understand scope, BIM, specifications, and drawings from client briefs.
• Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans/specifications are maintained across the project and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure consistency across the project.
• Involvement in proposals and bids.
• Engage with drafting and design staff to fulfill deliverables.
• Lead and attend project/site meetings with Clients, PM, and Consultants from other disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries.
• Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems, and tools to meet specific project requirements.
• Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, generally as a Doer/Seller role.
• Write technical reports and specifications including functional descriptions for M&E systems.
• Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by PEB Singapore. Pursuance of registration as a Professional Engineer will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in HVAC design. Experience in healthcare and/or Data Center projects will be an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in performing engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications, etc.) for building M&E infrastructure projects.
• Experience in BIM and 3D models.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The executive engineer is responsible for the design, diagnostic, testing as well as repair and overhaul of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of the chillers and other related systems in support of our overall chiller manufacturing process. The engineer shall be required to independently plan, schedule, coordinate and optimize on-site and workshop activities and coordinate with the sales and marketing team where required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, diagnose, test as well as repair and overhaul mechanical, electrical and electronic components of the chillers and other related systems

Spearhead digitization of existing chillers through selection, adoption and/or redesign of PCB & PLCs

Coordinate and liaise with internal production, sales & marketing team as well as external end customers, contractors and consultants on-site

Supervise and check suppliers’ works and/ or end customer requirements according to design drawings, specifications and regulation (local codes or relevant international design codes)

Check and ensure the equipment and material offered in compliance with the specification and drawings.

Generate engineering & electrical drawings with Autocad software

Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent.

At least 2 -3 year(s) of working experience in Electrical/Mechanical related fields is required for this position

Required Skill(s): Autocad, Microsoft Office

Licensed Electrical Engineer OR Licensed Electrical Technician is a bonus

Required Spoken and Written Language(s): English, Mandarin

Preferably with class 3 driving license

Working Hours : Mon to Fri (8.00 am to 5.00pm) & Sat (8.00am to 3.00pm)

Job Scope:

The person will oversee the site work scope including supporting Mechanical and electrical, ensuring compliance with building regulations and specifications; and managing other resources.

The person will be working with site personnel, and site activities and be highly involved in the following aspects of the business but not limited to the below:

· Project management, site meetings, and coordination with any QA/QC mechanical or electrical works

· Technical study and identify variation works.

· Able to schedule, supervise, and control sub-contractors to carry out their work accurately and timely in accordance with the contract, and QA/QC specifications.

· Experience in study drawings, and preparing work permits/documentation.

· Undertake Adhoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Good knowledge of various types of M&E systems with piping and cables used in factories, especially in Semiconductor factories.

· Experience in the Semiconductor industry, design/knowledge of general construction M&E works, is an advantage

· Independent individual with a drive to make things work.

· Highly communicative and Self-motivated individual

· Ability to communicate in English and work with tight deadlines.

· Able to communicate in Chinese is an advantage

· Possess relevant safety and work certificates (BCSS, WAH) is an advantage

Location: Tuas, Singapore (Nearest MRT: Tuas West Road, 3 mins walk)

Salary Range: S$3,500 – S$4,000 (depending on experience and profile)

Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (5-day work week)

Responsibilities:

• Manage project execution within budget and schedule.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and coordinate with Design Department for workshop drawings.
• Ensure accurate documentation and client/vendor communication.
• Verify correct sizing of components and update Master Production Schedule.
• Lead project kick-off meetings and follow up on procurement details.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and site meetings if necessary.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and ensure quality work.

Requirements:
