Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Drafter cum Quantity Surveyor (Plumbing & Sanitary) to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing detailed plumbing and sanitary system designs and drafts while managing project quantities, cost estimates, and budget monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical drafting, with a specific focus on plumbing and sanitary systems, along with strong skills in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical plumbing and sanitary system drawings using CAD software.
• Develop and review detailed plumbing and sanitary system layouts and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and budgeting for plumbing and sanitary works.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and associated costs for plumbing projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs align with project requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Proven experience (1 years) as a Mechanical Drafter with a focus on plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software.
• Experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and budget management for plumbing systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to plumbing and sanitary systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale construction projects.

Job Description:

• Collaborate with consultants to manage and coordinate M&E design works for MRT projects.
• Oversee and develop CCSM and M&E designs in consultation with LTA, SWCs, and relevant authorities.
• Review specifications, ensure compliance with terms and conditions, interpret drawings, obtain budget approvals, and manage related documentation.
• Plan and technically coordinate the installation of M&E services.
• Supervise and work closely with consultants, sub-contractors, and site operations teams to ensure smooth on-site installation processes.
• Liaise with relevant authorities to secure design approvals and work permits.
• Coordinate sub-contractors' M&E activities, monitor schedules, and ensure high-quality deliverables throughout the project.
• Ensure compliance with construction procedures and safety standards, guaranteeing quality workmanship that meets stringent requirements during site tests and inspections.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including supervision of at least two LTA MRT underground projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Proficiency in BIM software and AutoCAD is highly advantageous.
• Experience in drafting tender specifications is preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.
