Key Responsibilities

• Build relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors from other organizations
• Carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and implement prescribed systems of work
• Understand design philosophy/design fundamentals and communicate engineering solutions to project stakeholders
• Perform engineering calculations with the aid of engineering software such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Full Hydraulic Calculation (FHC)
• Familiar with Architect, Structural/Service Engineers drawings/specifications.
• Carry out investigative and technical review works

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to lead a team of M&E personnels.
• Acquire approval scope of works and ensuring compliance with regulations and project requirements.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction M&E works process.
• In-depth understanding of project specifications, technical details and construction drawings.
• Monitor and ensure that site progress is in accordance with the master program with no delay in works and proper work sequencing.
• Attend site meetings with the client and all sub-contractors to review project progress.
• Monitor and report project details including progress, risks and resolve MEP-related issues in a timely manner.
• Define clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all project personnel.
• Lead and supervise project personnel on site to ensure construction activities are carry out effectively and timely.
• Assist to the Project Director and any other job-related ad hoc duties.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient technical knowledge - measurement, cost estimating, construction technology, contracts and law.
• Understand and be competent with professional practice and contract administration processes.
• Required language(s): English

Candidates are expected to:-

• Carry out repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery onboard PSA Marine harbour crafts
• Liaise with Fleet Operations team on breakdown reports and harbour crafts status

• Assist in lifting activities, forklift operation, confined space assessment

• Possess at least a Nitec in Marine Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and MOM accredited certifications such as SSIC, Safety Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor, Forklift Driving
• Prior experience in performing mechanical fitment, basic gas and TIG welding, hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting will be considered favourably

The Job
