Qualifications

- Provide top-tier technical support and quality information to car manufacturers, distributors, and Service Dealers (SD) to drive continuous product quality improvement.
- Support the establishment and management of SD network expansion in responsible territories, ensuring a seamless service experience for our customers.
- Conduct engaging onsite and virtual technical training and audits to SD, guaranteeing that repair capabilities meet and exceed company standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend to Client’s site surveys, meetings and maintain constant contact/communication regarding project works (In progress and new)
• Work closely with the drafting department to come out with preliminary design (for client’s approval), material take off and cost estimation for the new potential projects
• Carry out cost estimation and prepare quotation for clients
• Procurement of materials and consumables required to carry out the fabrication work
• Work closely with clients during project execution with regards to schedule, determination of hold points (for testing and inspection) and project close up
• Overall in charge of project’s delivery schedule, cost control, quality and safety (i.e. ensure that projects are carried out within budget, schedule and with zero rework and safety incident)
• Carry out daily meeting with the supervisors to plan, prioritize, review and update status of projects
• Prepare Risk Assessment for Clients review and approval prior to work start
• Update project status during the project weekly meeting
• Check and ensure proper documentation (such as test packages, as-built drawings etc) are in place prior to project close up
• Ensure D.Os, Job Completion forms and invoices are in place (signed, submitted and filed promptly) within 1 week of project close up

As a Senior Quality Engineer – Mechanical Parts & Complex Assemblies at MKS Instruments Manufacturing operation located in Kaki-Bukit, Singapore you will be responsible for leading the quality assurance of mechanical components and complex mechanical assemblies used in our laser-based systems. This role involves developing and executing inspection and testing protocols, managing inspection systems, and performing failure analysis activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dimensional inspection, troubleshooting complex mechanical parts and assemblies, and extensive ISO-9001 quality systems expertise. This role involves ensuring product quality, resolving issues related to mechanical components & sub-systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Inspection:

• Develop detailed dimensional inspection plans for mechanical components and assemblies using tools such as CMM, and optical comparators.
• Develop and maintain inspection protocols and test plans for mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering specifications to ensure compliance.
• Failure analysis & Troubleshooting: Investigate failures in mechanical parts and assemblies, identifying root cause using techniques such as metallurgical analysis, fractural analysis and FMEA.
• Utilize statistical methods to define appropriate sample sizes based on part criticality, lot size and supplier performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical parts inspection, quality engineering, failure analysis, preferably in laser, systems, or manufacturing environments.
• Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering Principles including Structural analysis, Material selection, Tolerance analysis and Manufacturing Process.

Responsibilities

· Assist, plan and execute or draft Mechanical / Electrical / Fire / Plumbing & Sanitary (MEPL) project in compliance with safety, quality, and schedule
