RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in conducting and analyzing Environmental and mechanical tests to ensure the performance, durability, and safety of the products. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, hands-on experience with testing procedures, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up test rigs, fixtures, and instrumentation for mechanical & Environmental testing.
• Perform tests in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Monitor and document test conditions and results accurately.
• Collect and record test data using appropriate tools and software.
• Analyze test results to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed test reports and documentation.
• Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to ensure test requirements are met.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams based on test findings.
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to test failures.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Report and address any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical testing or a similar role (internships experience will be considered).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Develop detailed plans, layouts, and specifications for mechanical systems in buildings.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed mechanical systems.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of ACMV, plumbing, water pipe, fire hydrant pipe and fire protection systems. Electrical systems shall includes LV/HV, transform switch bond, single line diagram and CCTV installation.
• Monitor the construction progress to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Resolve technical issues and provide on-site guidance to construction teams.
• Ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and safety standards in all mechanical design

REQUIREMENT:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, recognized by PE Board Singapore;
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in electrical engineering related projects in Singapore building and construction industry;
• Possess strong Electrical knowledge with hands-on experiences;
• Strong Knowledge of M&E details, working drawings and local construction practices

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop series of marking/inspection/ sorting/customised semiconductor equipment to meet the processing and automation needs of customers
• Design standardization
• Costing and project management
• Machine and module conceptualization design
• Design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and Concurrent engineering
• Pneumatic/ hydraulic circuit design

Job Requirements:-

• Electro-mechanical module conceptualization and design

• Good track record in: Ultra High Precision machine design, High Speed Pick and Place mechanism design, Structural, kinematics and dynamic analysis and FEA simulation, Geometrical tolerance and dimensional analysis (e.g. stack up error), Engineering material selection, Design troubleshooting & Application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Under the supervision of Senior Engineers, to perform initial engineering task on the mechanical services detailed design for building projects
• To prepare submission to authorities for approval of design
• To attend to project meeting with Client, PM and Consultants from other disciplines
• To attend site project meeting and site inspection and respond to technical queries
• Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants
• Handle client liaison and reporting
• Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance

Key Requirements

• Degree in a Mechanical Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore will be an advantage
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the design & supervision of building service projects (Those with 5 years’ experience and/or Certified Professional Engineers will be considered for a senior position).
• Experience in leading roles for design & design management of residential, commercial, institutional or hotel projects will be an advantage
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures
• Competent user of relevant engineering software, Building Information Modelling and Navisworks
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English
• Able to work independently & exercise initiative
• Excellent delegation and communication skills, which see you enlist the help of others to meet objectives
