The Technical Superintendent/Senior Technical Superintendent has the overall responsibility for the safe, economic and efficient operation of vessels assigned. He/She ensures ships are managed and operated in accordance with organisational policies, operating procedures and management systems. He/She is also alert to analyse risks and ensures compliance to the organisation's risk management framework.

The Technical Superintendent/Senior Technical Superintendent ensures that all procedures are adhered to and comply with International Safety Management (ISM) and classification rules. The PWM Margin Lending team's primary responsibility is to ensure clients' accounts remain within exposure limits, and to the extent clients have exceeded their available borrowing capacity, ensure that actions are taken to bring the client's account back within their limit.
One key function is validating and ensuring all margin calls are issued on a timely basis, working closely with Business Partners to ensure all calls are met in a timely manner.
There are also regulatory reporting obligations that are performed by the team daily, across businesses.
Separately, the team works on a variety of different projects that focus on enhancements to manual processes, system uplift to increase scale, and inquiry processing on the back of client requests.

Programme Development

1. Assess complexity of client needs and the scope of services or programmes to be provided
2. Identify upcoming trends affecting programme's success
3. Apply relevant principles, frameworks and best practices in developing social service programmes
4. Develop and review service framework for programme work plans, resource requirement and budgeting
5. Determine allocation of resources for programmes
6. Adapt and incorporate best practices and trends in programmes
7. Build collaborations/partnerships with agencies, funders/sponsors and stakeholders in the social service sector for community development and re-integration
8. Pilot and refine service and programme parameters to ensure successful implementation
