Overview
As a key role within the Operations department, the Cluster Manager (CM) manages the resources and financial performance of the assigned centres. Reporting to the Operations Head, the CL will play a pivotal role in providing advice on operations topics to support business growth in a dynamic and challenging environment. This role will also work closely with other departments to achieve and implement the strategy, policies and assigned projects in the company while managing the assigned centres in the cluster.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Teams Management
- Responsible for the recruitment of his/her leadership team and their onboarding
- Manages, organize, coordinate and follows-up the activity of his/ her team. Define and run management process with teams. Assess individual and collective performance. Manage talent review and grow the team.
- Define clear KPIs and objectives, consistent with the strategy defined by the company.
- Ensure adherence of tools, guidelines & process of the company
- Ensure a smooth and serene communication both way from Management to the Centres as well from Centres to the Management team.
- Ensure the engagement of the team and reduce gap between the Centres and the HQ.
- Work closely with each department and ensures their involvement in operational process.
- Ensure good spirit, dynamism, and good values in the management practices of the Operations teams.
- Ensure a good retention and a positive social climate in the Centres.
2. Management of the Centres
- Responsible for the implementation of the strategy of the company & the initiatives from each HOD across the clusters.
- Satisfaction and engagement with the families:
- Responsible for the satisfaction of the families: KPIs on satisfaction survey, ensure right communication with parents
– Guide the principals to ensure right communication to the parents
- Attend to families’ meetings in the centre if needed
- Relation with institutional partners:
– Position the company as a real partner for Education (Early Years, Curriculum & Ops Expertise) in Singapore.
- Supporting our educators:
– Develop and build various communities’ groups within Operations to better support educators in their roles and for best practices/knowledge sharing
3. Performance of the centres
– Monitor monthly occupancy of the centres: Budget, forecast enrolment planning (increased enrolment with reduced withdrawal) and actions plans (school presentation, team professionalism, marketing actions, and overall quality of the service provided) to achieve the occupancy targets.
– Analyse the sales funnel conversion closely with Marketing/Sales teams.
– Responsible for the performance and quality of the centres
– Follow up the performance of each cluster in arranging P&L CM meeting between HR, Finance and each CM.
– Define & adherence the P&L budget, analyse the gaps, optimize results with proactive and corrective action plans. Work closely with Finance, Marketing and HR departments.
– Manage closely with Cluster Leads and Principals if needed on the staff cost
– Follow up the staff cost per month closely with Operations Head/HR and finance (staff deployment / Relief staff usage).
– Plan and review easily the staff deployment on a weekly basis, consistent with the occupancy of the centres.
– Design a tool & process to optimize the deployment of the staff based on the governance policy & brand compliances (teacher/child ratio)
– Monitor CAPEX budget & collection fee.
– Adhere to Standard Operation Procedures on Financial Matters.
4. Estate Management
- Work closely with the estate manager who oversees Centres Maintenance and renovation Projects (on current & new centres, where applicable)
Job Requirements
- Equipped with more than 8 years of experience as a manager
- Background in Education (Preschool in Singapore will be an advantage)
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Strong Business Acumen
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills:
