Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

We welcome international candidates who have previous vascular experience and looking for further opportunities to enhance their vascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Depending on candidates’ previous skills set, we offer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. Position Summary

Be responsible for achieving or exceeding Singapore sales target for designated products. With professional product knowledge, through various academic activities and promotion activities, the key information of products is accurately and timely communicated to customers to achieve promotion goals. Integrity, versatility, results oriented. Actively cooperate with marketing, medical and other departments to further promote products and improve the brand of the company and products.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

• Planned the promotion plan of the hospital, negotiated the final promotion plan with the line manager and colleagues in the Marketing Department, and carried it out.

Account Management and Brand Management:

• Visit doctors and experts to introduce key information of products, so that doctors and experts can know and understand product knowledge.
• Visit other stakeholders/influencers to make them understood the use of the product and related market information.

Performance Management:

• Reach consensus with line manager on work objectives to maximize performance.
• Complete the collection of relevant company data on time and in good quality, and summarize and analyze it to improve the promotion performance.

Financial Management:

• Make reasonable budget according to company regulations and implement it according to plan to ensure reasonable and effective use of resources.

Teamwork:

• Actively cooperate and share with team members to integrate resources and improve promotion effectiveness.

Self-management:

• Become an expert in product and sales
• Provide coaching and support to new team members

Ensure market accessibility.

• Formulary Listing (private, public hospitals)
• Pricing, Drug Subsidy (SDL, MAF, MAF plus etc.)

Other tasks assigned by line manager

Work within integrity and compliance policies and all company policies

Recommended Education and Key Competency

• Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, marketing, pharmacy, or life sciences
• 2~5 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical industry with proven track record of sales achievement
• Background in antibiotics, renal disease, immunology preferred
• Excellent sales skills and customer relations
• Product knowledge, Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and disease/treatment field
• Team work spirit, Initiative
• Performance achievement and business development (achievement oriented capability)
• Sales effectiveness and ability development (learning and application ability)

Duties of Project Manager:

• Manage and execute projects across local and regional locations.
• Review tender documents and contracts to ensure project alignment.
• Plan schedules and coordinate on-site activities with project teams.
• Attend client, consultant, and contractor meetings to discuss project progress.
• Collaborate with sales team as needed to support project-related goals.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health standards at project sites.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 - 5 years project management experience in relevant industry
