KKH is a major teaching hospital for Duke-NUS Medical School, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

You will be part of the Molecular Pathology team, providing scientific and technical input to the operation, management and development of tests in the Molecular Pathology Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medical, KKH.

Job Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in Biomedical Sciences or Molecular Biology.
• Strong background in molecular biology and diagnostic techniques.
• Previous work experience in a molecular diagnostic laboratory handling molecular assays such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, NGS, microarray.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with laboratory accreditation requirement & quality assurance programmes are beneficial.
• Scientifically vigorous, eager to learn and willing to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, clinical environment.
• Creative and collaborative with leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.

Job Scope:

• Perform objective and subjective refraction
• Conduct basic binocular vision assessments, such as cover test and ocular motility test
• Perform preliminary examinations, such as colour vision and pupillary assessment
• Educate patients on vision status, proper vision care, and usage of various optical aids

Requirements

• Degree in Optometry with 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Registered with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work proactively and independently
