POSITION OVERVIEW : Front Office Level 2 Application Support & Development

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS : Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Proven experience in Level 2 application support within the financial services or trading technology space. Expertise in front-office trading platforms and financial applications, such as ION, Bloomberg, MarkitWire, Fidessa, Front Arena, CME Brokertec, TradeWeb, and Trading Technologies. Experience supporting a diverse range of financial products, including IR and CR Derivatives, TRS, Equities, Fixed Income, FX products. Strong understanding of incident management processes, familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., GLPI, ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA) and the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.

Technical Skills: Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly within trading platforms, market data feeds, and trade execution systems.

Development / implementation experience Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., GLPI, ServiceNow, JIRA) for managing incidents, requests, and tracking progress. Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows environments, including command-line tools and scripting for basic system administration. Understanding of networking protocols and data feeds and how they interact with trading platforms. Experience with SQL and the ability to query databases to investigate data-related issues.

The Application Engineer reports to Sales Director in Singapore. He/ She will support pre-sales and post-sales activities in SEA and India region. These could include joint visits with salespersons; preparing proposals according to customer’s requirements; liaising with vendors & sub-contractors, and project execution till commission. Other responsibilities include on-site survey; and product and application support.

The responsibilities of this role are:

• Understand customer requirements and provide technical advice to sales and customers.
• Presales technical service for internal and external customers.
• Review project specifications, clarify doubts on technical specifications, and provide technical engineering and sales support for customer projects
• Provide primary technical proposal according to the requirements of customers' enquiry and carry out necessary technical clarification with customers.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, eg: Flow Control, Instrumentation or comparable qualification.
• Project Management Training (PMI certificate preferred).
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, time management and awareness of business and finance implications.
• Strong at innovation, initiative, professionalism, organizational and interpersonal skills, teamwork, integrity, accountability and a sense of urgency.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management and/or Process Automation
• Knowledge of Instrumentation Controls will be an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of CAD and related designing software.
• Able/Willing to travel frequently to customer sites.

REQUIREMENTS OF IT APPLICATION PROJECT MANAGER (PM)

Work Experience:

a. Candidate must have minimally 5 years of IT Application PM experience in recent years.

b. Candidate must have recent relevant experience in Vendor and Contract Management, Change Management / Service Request Management, Problem / Incident Management.

c. Recent relevant experience in supporting Government Projects will be an added advantage.

d. PM with recent exposure in managing project budget, timeline as well as scope will be an added advantage.

e. PM with recent experience in supporting applications operations will be an added advantage.

f. Relevant PM certifications, SCRUM master certification and/or practical experience with Agile Methodologies, tools and delivery, and proficiency in Microsoft Azure will be an added advantage.
