Position: IT Application Analyst

Location: Alexandra Road (near MRT Labrador Park)

Salary: S$5,000 - 5,500

Primary Responsibilities:

• Understands company business processes in order to provide application support
• Understands how assigned applications work, data structure and workflow
• Ensures assigned applications operate at optimum levels through regular maintenance
• Works with business users and application developers to identify bugs, recommend and implement enhancements
• Provides identification, tracking and resolution of application problems, both on-board and within the office, on a day-to-day basis via the IT Ticketing system
• Document issues, observations and outcomes accurately to ensure enough information is capture to escalate issues as required
• Liaises with fellow team members to seek clarification and resolve issues
• Develops and executes test plans, tests new software versions as made available by the vendor and documents test results when required
• Provides evening and weekend support for applications as required
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in IT, computer science, or similar field
• Minimum of two to three years’ experience in an IT role
• Strong knowledge of systems analysis and system development life cycle theory emphasizing project management, continuous quality improvement and management information systems techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and good writing style
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail
• Ability to plan and organize, priority and multi-task effectively
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Sound decision-making skills

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in a ship management company
