Tech Architecture & Engineering Unit

Sitting within Data & Technology Architecture department, ICT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible:

• Implement projects within their emplaced practice to ensure service delivery and support to meet the intended availability, continuity and capacity requirements.
• Translate business requirement into infrastructure design
• Work with service providers to design, develop, deploy and configure infrastructure to meet resiliency, availability and data integrity needs
• Ensure compliance to Company’s Technical Architecture and SG-TRM, as well as IM8 and IT Policies
• Manage Infrastructure projects and services to support application systems environments
• Request to provision new VMs for new systems
• Manage system architecture, resource planning, infrastructure performance and system hosting environment from server hardware till OS layer (Excluding hypervisor and Storage) in support of new applications
• Main infrastructure single-point-of contact for all new application system initiatives and to support/assist in application architecture design, integration and acceptance and infrastructure performance testing
• Handover Infrastructure and Systems standard operating procedures and day-to-day performance/availability monitoring to Operations Engineer upon commissioning and completion of PGP
• Support Operations Engineer on Infrastructure and Systems
• Assist in Infrastructure Architecture review, support and endorsement Review Hardening standards for OS, database
• Hosting environment infrastructure on-boarding (design, setup, configuration, implementation, testing and commissioning of infrastructure components)
• Understand systems operations environment is expected
• Familiar with API product and configuration for pub/sub and encryption highly preferred

· Tertiary Education in relevant fields is preferred.

· Hands-on experience in relevant fields such as Windows, Linux RHEL and AIX OS,OS virtualisation technologies, SAN storage and/or databases.

· Ability to take a broad, strategic perspective as well as drill deep to understand business needs and challenges.

· Ability to analyse and identify comprehensive solutions considering all functional

implications while developing a workable solution.

Skills & Experience:

• Possess Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• Familiar with database, storage, backup/recovery, and server virtualization
• Familiar with HL7 v2.x, XML and JavaScript
• Familiar with Mirth Connect will be advantageous
• Possess programming knowledge (.NET / C# / Java) will be an advantage
• Possess strong analytical and critical thinking
• Have excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Able to organize and prioritize work based on strategic direction
• Is hard-working, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Support and assist in regular server maintenance, system accesses, systems monitoring, backups, patching and daily health checks
• Maintain service operations documentation and guides.
• Develop supporting documentation for all Service Operation activities.
• Monitor Service level dashboards, perform daily health monitoring, system capacity review and allocation of adequate capacity
• Defect fixes and resiliency related improvements
• Assist in investigation of user reported issues
• Develop mitigating and/or preventive solutions
• Level 2 support will include attending to user queries, analysis and investigation of issues reported, ensuring the issues are fixed as per user requirement.
• Evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations to resolve application issues and user queries.
• Log the issues received, track and monitor the progress of fixes in a timely manner, according to established Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Involvement in the system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to production implementation of changes.
• Assist and involve in change management process (Change Approval, Implementation, Testing, Deployment and verification)
• Liaise closely with vendors in implementing application patches, bug fixes and any necessary upgrades in accordance with OS/Software/Security policies.
• Work with various internal teams (Infra/Database/Security/Cyber Defence/Data Centre Ops) to detect and remediate incidents, problems and changes.
• Provide periodic updates and reports to internal and user management

Requirement:

• A recognized diploma / degree in IT or related discipline
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in software development and maintenance support
• Possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies
• General Understanding of Internet and Intranet server/application architecture and experience in working with medium/large systems involving multitier architecture and interface/integration to other systems.
• Experience in implementing multiple websites/web applications on same platforms with interdependency of data and shared features will be advantageous.
• Possess strong MS platform knowledge and skills.
• Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions
• Full project lifecycle experience in designing and implementing large applications.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills to resolve technical problems;
• ITIL v3/v4 certification and strong service oriented experience / background preferred
• Strong Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
• Proven experience supporting Web / Mobile / Client based applications

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end projects for system implementation specific to L3 support KYC Dectica system

• Engage and collaborate with Architects, Security and Development Lead to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security, and control standards

• Coordinate with Technical Delivery Manager to plan technical deliverables and schedule, perform environment setup, involve in solution design and development works to meet project requirements

• Escalate issues that impacts project schedule on timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions
