Summary:
The Renovation Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial design and budgeting to final handover.
Responsibilities:
* Project Planning & Initiation:
* Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, vision, and budget.
* Develop detailed project plans, including scope of work, schedules, and cost estimates.
* Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
* Source and procure materials and equipment.
* Hire and manage subcontractors.
* Project Execution & Monitoring:
* Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work adheres to plans and specifications.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
* Manage project budget and track expenses.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
* Communication & Reporting:
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
* Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
* Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly.
* Project Closeout:
* Conduct final inspections and ensure all work is completed to satisfaction.
* Manage project documentation and handover to client.
* Process final payments and close out project accounts.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience (e.g., 3+ years) as a Renovation Project Manager or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
Additional Skills (Beneficial):
* Experience with specific types of renovation projects (e.g., residential, commercial, historical).
* Knowledge of sustainable building practices.
* Familiarity with CAD software.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP).
