Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. What you will do:

The Systems Applications Engineer, National Accounts will Provides sales support to the engineering and sales team. Conducts engineering design and processes and / or financial analysis during project development. Generates take-off plans and specifications. Develops and writes estimates or proposals. May call on potential customers as directed by sales managers.

How you will do it:

• Oversee the application engineering team, providing configuration, enhancement, and support for technical documentation and presentations to clients.
• Customize and introduce new features to Metasys software and in-house developed applications based on end-user requirements.
• Design and construct new applications tailored to meet customer specifications and needs.
• Guide application engineers in writing and executing tests on complex programming, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and supporting product launches.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot application issues while performing tests on complex programming and assisting in product launches.
• Assist the application manager in process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with system integrators (SI) to monitor their performance with quality assurance/quality control checks and ensure completion sign-off.
• Manage vendor relationships, including scoping application services and reviewing deliverables.

• Knowledge of ACMV and controls associated with Johnson Controls Metasys will be advantageous.
• Deliver customer support by responding to technical queries with detailed analyses of building management systems, tooling costs, and design/process improvements to meet all customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to understand standard fabrication techniques, composite materials, and customer demands to develop design details.
• Create and present technical engineering information based on customer proposals, including 3D representations of products and tooling.
• Prepare cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, customer documents, and consulting with engineers and technical personnel.
• Conduct conceptual designs of composite components and assemblies to support proposals.
• Generate accurate CAD models of components and assemblies.
• Develop detailed bills of materials for proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide remote and on-site technical support, including but not limited to, Incident Management and Problem Management

• Escalate incidents, problems, changes to Team Lead, Service Delivery Manager, Account Manager or vendors as per defined business rules, ensuring timely resolution of client service requests

Job Requirements:

What you will do:

Installs more complex required system field devices and commissioning using standard configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
