Team introduction:

The TikTok Engineering Test Team focuses on testing and delivering innovative, high-quality product features of the TikTok as well as protecting user data. Our Mission is to facilitate the release of TikTok features and enhancements from the development to production stage through effective testing, delivering quality at speed.

As a Test Engineer on our team, you will:

1. Design, develop, and implement functionality testing for mobile applications (iOS/Android) and the service of mobile applications;

2. Design test plans for new features and regression test cases;

3. Work on project management, risk management, and process management tasks;

4. Help implement test tools and collaborate with automation/performance test teams to build up internal tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive;

5. Track defects manage bugs during the whole software development cycle.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. BS/MS degree in a relevant field: Computer Engineering or EE;

2. 2+ years of testing experience, within mobile application and/or backend service application;

3. Have distributed application and iOS/Android fundamental knowledge;

4. Excellent problems solving skills, ability to coordinate with different local and global teams;

5. Strong passion for mobile internet and building next generation mobile application, can take full responsibility for service end to end quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Paid Acquisition team plays a key role in TikTok User Growth strategy. We leverage a diverse range of incentives and design various gameplays to power the acquisition, retention and activation of TikTok users. We build end-to-end system to deliver user campaigns, from user approach and engagement activities, to resource allocation and benefit distribution. This role is responsible for designing portions of engineering solutions, developing and implementing parameters and test plans, and conducting feasibility studies. The role applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to design, analyze, build, and test mechanical components. The role participates in project teams with internal and outsourced partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions. The role manages relationships with partners and suppliers, oversees design engineering change processes, and drives value engineering projects.

Responsibilities
• Designs portions of engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
• Develops and implements parameters and test plans for existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, developing fan curves, system power measurements & acoustics.
• Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses and empirical testing on new and modified designs.
• Performs root cause analysis of defects, propose, evaluate and implement solutions.
• Works in a collaborative environment to design, analyze, build and test mechanical components, devices, structures and assemblies, including mechanical ground support equipment.
• Participates as a member of project team of other mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderate to complex products.

Education & Experience Recommended
