Job Duties:

• Maintain 5S & Safety in Laboratory, plan and deliver services to meet the local and regional business plan objectives
• Technical report preparation and authorization and provide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory
• Provide onsite project leadership and testing execution while ensuring development and training of junior staff
• Be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable
• Be expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testing, possess the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities and able to interact with customers on technical issues and questions
• Provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers and be confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders and assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory
• Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data, utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis and be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions
• Ensure that tests assigned to the technicians are performed in a timely manner in accordance with validated test protocols and procedures; give training to the technicians as required, upkeep test reports and related records and ensure equipment and testing meets the requirement of ISO/IEC 17025
• Maintain and upkeep test facilities and laboratory equipment, assist with hazard identification and risk assessment exercises within their areas of responsibility and monitor day-to-day health and safety in their section of responsibility and ensure all hazards, near misses and accidents are reported

Job Requirements:

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering major or testing related field with a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic / professional qualifications
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts and able to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
• A team player with advanced computer and communication skills

Key Responsibility

• To work closely with sales, service, and industry managers in a team approach to serving customers. To perform out-door sales activities to achieve the agreed sales targets.
• To promote and develop existing customers in Singapore for Endress+Hauser products, services and solutions in the industries assigned to your team.
• To provide customer service, build and maintain good customer relations, solve problems, attend to complaints, and provide effective customer support, to achieve the best customer experience from end-to-end.
• To develop sound customer relationships at all levels and keep the accounts plan and forecast regularly updated in Salesforce Lightning CRM.
• To work closely with colleagues internationally, joining our global network to ensure the best of service to our customers and to be an active participant in Kaizen and Lean projects.
• To respond to and follow up on customer enquiries and specifications for products and systems or packages based on E+H products, services and third-party suppliers and pass on clear instruction to Internal Sales Engineer to prepare quotations and proposals in SAP, in a timely manner.
• To be responsible for sales functions, like customer visits, product demonstration, negotiations, complaint handling, providing technical assistance and advice, following up of quotations, closing orders and customer liaison.
• To assist in marketing activities, like exhibitions, seminars, presentations, direct mailing, etc.
• To assist service department in satisfying customers’ after-sales and commissioning service requirements, where applicable.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical engineering or its equivalent
• At least 3 years' relevant experience.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure quality and adherence to safety protocols.
• Test and commission electrical systems to confirm functionality and performance.

4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

• Identify and resolve issues with electrical systems during installation or operation.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Prepare troubleshooting guides and provide technical support as needed.

5. Safety Management

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards related to electrical works.
• Train staff on electrical safety and emergency response procedures.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain detailed records of electrical installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare daily progress reports, test reports, and as-built documentation.
• Report project progress and issues to the project manager or higher management.

• Estimate costs for electrical components and systems.
• Monitor project expenditures to ensure that electrical work stays within the budget.
