Job Description

• Review engineering standards/specifications/drawings, tender, quotations and proposal documents.

Requirement

• Well versed in specification and selection of Yamatake and Azbil building automation system and product, not limited to system and controller but including field devices like sensors, control valves
• Strong communication presentation skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description

· Lead one or multiple product development, Responsible for mechanical design and overall product specification.

· Study for certain market and industry, provide solutions and proposal for new development.

· Concept design and machines/modules design & develop according to requirement and specification.

· Work with whole team for pneumatic and electrical design and electrical component layout.

· Work together among different parties for product development.

· Lead/guide junior engineers for mechanical design, assembly and detail drawings, BOM and product documentation.

· Evaluate technical specifications of third-party components used for own developments.

· Product continuous development and improvement.

· Communicate with 3rd party or sub-con for contract development if needed.

Education

· Bachelor/Master degree in mechanical/mechatronic engineering or related studies.

Work experience

· >8 years’ experience in mechanical/machine/automation design

Expertise and methodology

· 3D design software experience, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.

· Industrial automation knowledge, including motor, pneumatics, sensor, vision, bearing, linear slide etc.

· Understanding fabrication process & materials and know how to control tolerance.

· Calculation capability for standard product selection and machines design.

· Product Lifecycle Management and use of PLM Tools.

· Knowledge of industrial4.0, HMI and IloT.

· Understand product/machine development process and milestone.

· Comprehensive knowledge of MS-Office applications

Job Scope:

To independently handle sustainability deliverables, manage various scope of works defined by corporate or project team effectively and efficiently according to the specified technical requirements, timelines and budget. Assist lead engineer or manager in research and development task and resolve any arising issues during sustainability implementations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with different disciplines to collect the Lessons Learnt and Life Cycle value improvement ideas, to sort out into different categories and to update/improve design standards.
• Proposes, conducts, and participates studies of new technology related to Company business, such as CO2 emission calculation and reduction, decarbonatization, Ammonia and so on.
• Assists his/her seniors in strategy planning for new products of the business, i.e., offshore wind farm, H2 energy, Ammonia energy, carbon capture system (CCS) and so on.
• Coordinates the specialists from Core Team (Technical expert group) to solve the critical issues arising from EPC projects or offshore fleets.
• With sufficient experience accumulated, may assumes role of R&D lead of the assigned initiatives, and monitor the progress for research topics from both company entities and external collaborators (universities, research institutes and consultants etc.).
• Independently communicates with all stakeholders, i.e., consultant, classification body, clients, internal engineering disciplines and implements the sustainability program as required by client specification or classification notation (ABS SUSTAIN and DNV ABATE etc.).
• Provides technical advice pertaining sustainability related topic during project bidding / FEED, EPCI and operational stage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Ship Building/Environmental/Chemical/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science etc. or above.
• Or a Diploma in Engineering with relevant years of working experience.
• Min 7 years of relevant working experience in engineering in oil and gas sector or shipyard industries for Bachelor’s Degree holder, Min 5-year relevant experience for Master’s Degree, or min 3-years relevant experience for PhD degree or 12 or more years of relevant working experience for diploma holders.
• Good at project coordination, or software development skills are preferable.
