About the role

To run R&D, product development activities and projects related to aerogel such as paints and fire resistant coatings, boards, blankets and other innovation solutions for commercial thermal insulation applications for various industries such as Oil and Gas, Built and Environment, Marine and Offshore and Electric Vehicles. As a core member, it has a pivotal role in shaping the technology, developing the core products together and defining the vision of the company.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Establish R&D procedures and work processes.

Requirements

Atomionics is working on quantum sensors based on cold atom interferometry where atoms are cooled down to almost absolute zero using lasers. At such cold temperatures, these atoms start behaving like waves, which allows us to precisely measure the forces acting on them.

This opens up a wide range of applications including, but not limited to, paving a path in the energy transition to zero-carbon, exponentially improving the performance of inertial navigation systems, and transforming the global positioning system. Responsibilities

• Lead project development from hardware specifications, manufacturing methods and procedures, and manufacturing quality
• Design architecture to manage size, weight, and power of cold atom sensors to target specifications
• Propose new innovative solutions and technology

Must have skills

• Analog and digital design
• Microcontroller/microprocessor and FPGA based design, interface SPI, I2C, RS232, Parallel, USB, CAN, and SATA
• Schematic capture and PCB design layout
• Prototyping and debugging of boards
• Strong interest in and passion for technology

Nice to have skills

• Knowledgeable in RF test methodologies of RF modules and the use of RF test equipment
• Knowledgeable in solid-state and fiber-based lasers
• Knowledgeable in high power switching power supply and battery management
• Leads and owns projects
• Expertise in emerging technologies

Responsibilities

Project Management

• To resolve all technical and non-technical issues during the project lifecycle.
• To ensure the tracking and monitoring of items per contractual requirement.
• Responsible for submission and monitoring of technical drawings, method statements and proposals.
• To ensure construction meeting client & regulatory requirements.
• To carry out short-term planning to meet site progress.
• To co-ordinate, program and monitor site work, materials, plant & equipment.
• Carry out project objectives to align with company goals.
• Minimize material wastage on-site and maximize machinery/equipment usage.
• To control the allocated direct workforce effectively i.e. no. of direct workers and overtime etc.
• Follow approved construction method that is cost effective, productive & without compromising on Quality.
• Achieve targeted progress of works to ensure the intended cash flow.

Technical Understanding

• Fully understand project drawings and scope of work.
• Understand the implications of different technical choices so as to meet the project objectives.
• Involving in providing value engineering solutions basing on his knowledge.
• To have knowledge in the preparation of engineering project proposals and method statements.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent (Recognized by PEB).
• Versed in PUB(WRN) projects with more than 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is an advantage
