Job Scope
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance airfreight operations.
- Collaborate with senior management to align airfreight strategies with overall company objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day airfreight import and export operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Optimize processes to achieve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and motivate a small team of airfreight specialists.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance team performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their airfreight needs are met.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with airlines, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with airfreight partners.
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve airfreight performance.
- Monitor and report on E-AWB, FWB/FHL, and operational automation KPIs.
- Actively participate in assessing Airfreight inquiries, negotiating block space agreements, and pricing discussions.
- Facilitate effective communication among air product teams, key accounts, and team members at various organizational levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to formulate and implement a robust pricing strategy.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Airfreight and project management within a freight forwarding company.
- Proficiency in preparing quotations, budget control, and project execution.
- Familiarity with intercom systems to facilitate efficient communication.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions.
- Ability to work autonomously, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience handling key clients and delivering high levels of client satisfaction.
