Position Opened: OPERATIONS MANAGER
Position Reports to: Zan Chan, Regional Manager APAC
Dotted Reports to: Chow Lai Fong, Senior Ops Manager APAC

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end IOR/EOR operations for global shipments within the APAC region.
- Ensure timely and compliant clearance of goods in collaboration with customers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
- Supervise the verification of shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin for accuracy and compliance.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and trade policies within APAC.
- Ensure compliance with all import/export laws and company policies.
- Oversee the management of accurate records for all shipments, customs entries, and compliance documentation.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring exceptional service and timely communication.
- Work closely with customers to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Problem Resolution:
- Identify and resolve operational issues, including shipment delays, missing documentation, or customs holds.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present Business Review/Quarterly Business Review, operational performance reports, including shipment status, compliance metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend process enhancements.
Requirements
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or customs operations, with exposure to International Trade.
- Strong knowledge of IOR/EOR processes and international trade regulations, especially within APAC.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to perform under pressure.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of customs documentation and import/export regulations.
- Knowledge of APAC trade regulations is a strong advantage.
