• Provide CDD advisory in client level to business in relations to AML/CTF matters.

As a People Operations Intern you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and customer-focused experience throughout our employees (referred to as Wisers) lifecycle by supporting our team members to excel at Wise.

Onboarding support:

• Manage the administrative process of onboarding new Wisers in Singapore (with potential to expand coverage to the APAC region), ensuring that the Wiser journey is as smooth as possible with everyone kept in the loop

• Book travel and accommodation for those who are relocating and/or attending company onboarding in other offices, working closely with the team to ensure we have appropriate immigration documentation in place

• Coordinate adaptable onboarding plans and collaborate on future changes that aligns to Wise’s way of working

• Coordinating with our User Tech and Workplace team to ensure our new Wisers are set up for success on day 1 including access card & workstation collection both onsite & offsite across APAC.

• Support Leads with any onboarding guidance needed, providing a checklist of things to consider in advance of the new Wiser joining their team

• Handle all first day new Wiser administration (e.g. employment contracts, right to work checks, benefits enrollment, welcome email etc.)

Wiser support:

• Deal with Wiser questions on first-line queries (ticketing tool), escalating to the team as needed

• Keep our HR system (Workday) up to date with accurate Wiser information 

• Prepare any required documentation for our Wisers (e.g. employment agreements, references, visa invitation letters, etc.)

• Support our Payroll team with any documentation needed to process changes (e.g. joiners, benefits, etc.)

• Maintain the team’s content on Confluence (our intranet) so that Wisers can access correct information at any time

Team initiatives:

• Collaborate with the People team on local and global projects

Duties and responsibilities

• Work closely with other senior team members with the Investment Operations Group to deliver the full range of services in an effective & efficient way within a robust operational risk framework.
• To work with existing systems and tools to streamline and drive operational efficiency. Maintaining and updating data in PMS.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties such as Bankers, Custodians, Prime Brokers, Fund Administrators, Auditors and other service providers to facilitate the delivery of operational services and meet KPI objectives.
• Participate in investments and business initiatives to provide strategic and operational inputs.
• Strengthen the governance process within the investment operations group team.
• Ensure appropriate checks and balances are in place so that all credit, market, operational, regulatory/compliance and business risks are managed and measured.

Prior Work Experience

• 5-7 years relevant experience in Banking and/or Asset Management.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of investment products ideal if candidate has strong accounting, investments educational background such as ACCA.

Domain Skills

• Good understanding of Reconciliations (Cash + Position).
• Expertise in producing/ reviewing NAV reports & Flash P&L reports for Traders & PM’s.
• Have historically active interaction with industry participants such as counterparties, clearers, custodians, fund administrators, vendors etc.
• Familiarity with capital markets technology such as Portfolio Management, Order Management, Reconciliation systems.
• It would be a plus if the candidate understands multi asset classes including Private Equity / Venture Debt.
