Responsibilities

• Manage ER cases including disciplinary issues, misconduct, performance concerns, grievances, redundancies, and complex absences to successful resolution.
• Conduct independent investigations, of complex HR-related concerns and apply critical thinking to analyze evidence and make investigative conclusions.
• Provide advice and counsel to businesses on disciplinary and warning actions related to ER cases, policy interpretation, and employment practices of the region.
• Maintain a required standard of detailed ER case documentation, including investigation reports and issue analysis.
• Curate and deliver relevant training and education to improve HRBP and leader effectiveness and drive better ER decisions.
• Build partnerships with business leaders and HR Business partners to sustain positive employee relations practices.
• Foster strong working relationships with employment legal and investigations to balance risk, and calibrate recommendations for decision-making. - Examine trends to diagnose root causes and develop solutions to enable effective corrective actions.
• Ensure a coordinated and consistent case management approach to handling ER matters.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of employee relations experience.
• Demonstrated strong experience in partnering with various key stakeholders and being an effective team player. - Demonstrated strong understanding of the Asia Pacific employment law and regulatory frameworks (exposure to, and a full appreciation of rulings related to disciplinary, warnings, or other corrective actions is essential).
• Able to make good judgments for sensitive, complex, and/or ambiguous situations.

Key Responsibilities:

In Store Operations

• Managing the operations of all stores
• Handling manpower and operational planning to ensure the smooth management and staff productivity
• Ensuring the achievement/meeting of sales target at the respective counters
• Ascertain that visual merchandising guidelines are followed to optimize sales performance

Reporting

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing an operations team to operate two open cycle gas turbines and the associated auxiliaries and ancillary equipment of the power generation station.

We are inviting applicants for the positions of Technical Officer (Operations) who shall report to the Shift Charge Engineer (SCE)/Assistant Shift Charge Engineer (ASCE) (Operations) and be responsible for supporting him in the day to day operations of the power station/plants.

As a member of the operations team, you will be assigned to oversee the execution and coordination of plant related works. You will operate the plant in a safe, efficient and timely manner in accordance with established guidelines and to meet output requirements; performing trouble-shooting on the plant and its associated auxiliary and ancillary equipment; evaluating and recommending plant and equipment process improvements to achieve maximum availability, reliability and efficiency.

The Technical Officer shall support the Operations team in the following:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for proper and efficient operation of gas turbine, generator and its auxiliary systems and ancillary systems as assigned by SCE/ASCE in-charge.
• Support operation and maintenance engineers in investigation, analyse and determine the root cause of plant defects and outages.
• Prepare, maintain and control all records as required.
• Assist in the preparation, certification and review of all management systems, e.g.ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc annually and provide support to the auditing parties wherever necessary, including internal & external auditors, to rectify non compliances and/or to follow up on improvement items identified during audit.
• Raise work orders, carry out isolation/de-isolation works to facilitate the issuance of Permits-to-Work to maintenance departments or their subcontractors in accordance to existing regulatory requirements.
• Carry out routine plant inspections and tests during shift duty.

Requirements:

• Education in Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ operation experience in a power plant or related industries. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
