8. Evaluate existing/new contractors’ performance and negotiate with them on quotations and service level.

You will also provide a global engineering support focused on Channel Partners and Aftermarket Centers for the selection, repair, maintenance, and replacement of Masoneilan and Consolidated products.

As a Retrofit Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Executing design and analysis of assigned projects to develop valves meeting customer application needs, specification requirements, complying with local design/product standards.
• Reviewing customer specifications and “translating” customer specification in to order instructions for manufacturing of valves.
• Providing Retrofit solutions, with bills of material, drawing information, test specifications and processing instructions to meet quality and manufacturing requirements.
• Creating the design review process, ensuring accuracy, quality and design for manufacturability goals are met.
• Enabling the use of design tools (like 2D / 3D CAD (SolidWorks / ProE / UG), Excel, and in-house design calculations.
• Engaging with sales to support the quotation activities.
• Identifying, Own and Enable such initiatives which are in line with business objectives.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or) Equivalent from an accredited uni or college.
• Have a minimum 12-15 yr of experience in an Engineering Design / Analysis /Scientific / Technical Position.
• Have at least 7 yr of Control Valve and/or Safety valve Design Expertise.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team.
• Have knowledge of control valve and/or safety valves including instrumentation and actuator.
• Have good understanding and experience in Valves regarding applications, Material of Construction, Non-Destructive Tests.
• Have experience with ASME B16.34 and PED, 3D design (Solid works/Ansys), mechanical design & tech writing.
• Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding or cutting etc.

• Overall in charge of project’s delivery schedule, cost control, quality and safety (i.e. ensure that projects are carried out within budget, schedule and with zero rework and safety incident)
• Prepare Risk Assessment for Clients review and approval prior to work start
• Check and ensure proper documentation (such as test packages, as-built drawings etc) are in place prior to project close up
• Ensure overall safety well being of workers in the workshop as well as the on site during project execution
• Attend and participate all Safety Meetings organized by Clients

Big Data Developer (3 – 10 Years)
§ Good understanding of concurrent software systems and building them in a way that is scalable, maintainable, and robust
§ Experience in designing application solutions in hadoop ecosystem
§ Deep understanding of the concepts in Hive, HDFS, yarn, Spark, Spark sql, Scala and Pyspark
§ HDFS file formats and their use cases (eg Parquet, ORC, Sequence etc)
§ Good knowledge in data warehousing system
§ Experienced in any scripting language (SHELL, PYTHON)
§ HortonWorks distribution and understanding on SQL engines (Tez, MR)
