Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform email + call-taking functions include but not limited to enquiries, bookings, feedback
• Ensure accuracy of booking records
• Plan resource deployment according to project requirement
• Ensure operationality of crew and equipment
• Assign daily crew pairing and monitor crew movements
• Verify crew attendance and allowances
• Route planning for optimised vehicle efficiency
• Collect daily cash and ensure accuracy of cash records
• Perform any other office duties, as assigned by supervisor/manager

Requirements

• Any Diploma (minimum requirement)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, multilingual is an added advantage (able to speak & write Mandarin is a bonus)
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• MS Excel & WhatsApp knowledge
• Able to commit weekend and work overtime when needed (cover colleauges on leave or MC duties)
• Relevant experience in coordinating ambulance fleets (bonus)
• Training will be provided
• You may/will have roster Night duty and weekend duties monthly.

The Company

Our client is a large MNC within the shipping industry, with a history of more than 100 years. They are currently looking to hire a Finance Operations Analyst to join them.

The Role

The successful incumbent will work closely with the finance team and will be responsible for finance, operations and admin activities. Tasks include analysis of terminal and port costs, reconciliation, variance and trend analysis, cost control, AP, AR as well as month end closing. There will be calculation of terminal costs, resolving discrepancies, reporting, liaison with treasury team on banker’s guarantee, issuance of PO, processing of invoices, costs recovery, posting of journals, accruals, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you should possess minimum qualification of a Diploma in Finance and Accounting, well versed in accounting concepts and bring along with you 1-2 years of accounting experience. JOB SUMMARY :

To manage, lead and oversee all aspects of daily operations for all manufacturing, manufacturing support and administrative functions needed to support shipyard operations. Responsibilities include, project execution including maintaining quality standards, cost effectiveness and time management to ensure projects are on time and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY :

1. Manage team and provides supervision to supervisors and foremen.

2. Directs activities in areas of safety and personnel, production, scheduling, material handling and quality and ensures compliance with all Safety, Quality, Company and Regulatory directives.

3. Directs and coordinates shipyard operations within company policies and procedures.

4. Responsible for providing the quantity and quality of workers to meet schedule and budget. With assistance of Senior Manager, trains assigned craft supervisors in safety, cost control, job skills, quality and scheduling.

5. Directs all phases of Hydro blasting, spray painting, power tooling, and cleaning work.

6. Creates and prioritizes necessary resources and steps required to accomplish goals on time.

7. Determines plant improvements and repairs along with costs and schedules.

8. Ensures product quality control goals are met and maintained as per the shipyard policies.

REQUIREMENTS :

1. Minimum 12 years’ experience in managerial role or other management level responsibilities in a shipyard environment.

2. In depth knowledge of all business functions associated with shipyard management.

3. Ability to understand and administer Classification guidelines

4. Ability to apply Continuous Improvement strategies across all functions.

5. Considerable knowledge in all areas of shipbuilding and repair, material handling, labour, safety and product related state and federal regulations and practices.

6. Proactive with good problem-solving skills, resourceful and able to work towards deadlines with right sense of urgency

7. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with outstanding proficiency in English and Tamil.
