Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Operation Manager (Container Depot) in Cogent Container Depot Pte Ltd. As an Operation Manager, you will be responsible to oversee the day-to-day operations of the container depot. Your tasks will include managing container handling and storage, coordinating with customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and operational guidelines, optimizing depot operations and leading a team of depot personnel.

1. Responsible for all day to day depot operations
2. Ensure equipment is in good working conditions and follow up on maintenance and repair, if any
3. Ensure that shipping and leasing customer’s KPI are met
4. Responsible for optimal yard planning, relocation and allocation of containers
5. Ensure there is no delay at the gate and ensure smooth traffic flow at all times
6. Discuss and report to superior on any enhancement made to daily operations
7. Responsible for all outdoor tasks like container nomination, container measurement, make shifting arrangement etc.
8. Attend to any additional services which are non-routine in nature (such as container door cannot open etc.)
9. Manage subordinates to achieve operational and service excellence and cost effectiveness
10. Report to superior if there is any dispute, accident and incident. Ensure the proper reporting and escalation of accident and their corrective/ preventive actions.
11. Conduct toolbox meeting daily
12. Attend the regular operations meeting with shipping agents to discuss operations work plan and implementation
13. Keep track of fixed assets and ensure depot facilities are in good order
14. Liaise with trucking team to improve trucking efficiency
15. Regulate the importance and priority of every job order assigned to the operations team
16. Liaise with vendor on container repairs/ washing issues and ensure that they complete their jobs on time to meet our customers’ requirement
17. Ensure containers are repaired according to IICL/ cargo worthy standards or other customers’ criteria
18. Identify safety hazards in operations areas and proactively eliminate any risks
19. Ensure staff work safely in a safe workplace
20. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirement

1. Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
2. Minimum 5 years in container depot operations
3. Strong knowledge and experience in container depot operations
4. Responsible individual who is diplomatic and possess a high level of initiative and strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. Possession of IICL certification is an advantage

The Role

Custody Operations Manager is responsible for managing the custody framework to safeguard funds maintained in the Trust account on behalf of investors. The incumbent submits custody reports to senior management for management oversight, and ensures the custody processes comply with the regulations and the Group policies and procedures. This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Managing the custody framework for complying with regulatory, policy standards and procedures
• Perform regular reviews of the custody services and systems
• Escalate any potential issues to the senior management
• Monitor the safekeeping and movement of customers’ monies in Trust account
• Ensures timely reconciliation of the funds in the Trust account
• Process funds withdrawn from Trust account based on investors’ authorisation

Experience & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and manage the day-to-day operations and deployment of security personnel to the sites as allocated.
• To take the lead in manpower planning for individual sites as assigned not limiting to manpower forecasting and planning for all permanent and relief security personnel.
• Conduct on the job training for sites as per requirement to new hires and conduct refresher courses as and when required. For instance, safety briefing, traffic management control.

Job Requirements

Job Description:

• Lead the Technician and service staffs ensuring that they carry out their duties according to the SOPs
• Co-ordinate and supervise maintenance activities to ensure smooth running of building facilities, Building Automation System (BAS) / Building Management System (BMS), M&E services and other backend facilities
