The role:

We are partnering with our client, who is a 5-star premium international hotel in the heart of Orchard Road in Singapore. They are looking to hire part-time F&B Service Captains to support their Banquet, all day dining, and signature Italian restaurants. This role requires maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring guests receive optimal service.

Responsibilities:

• Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials
• Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels
• Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels
• Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
• Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines or power saws
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors or other wooden fixtures used in buildings using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools
• Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins or glue.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and to repair or replace them using hand tools
• Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures
• Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to always follow safety guidelines

• To plan, organize, recruit, execute and control the functions of the housekeeping department.
• To be responsible for directing, supervising and co-coordinating the activities of housekeeping and ensuring the smooth operations which includes rooms, public areas, laundry, uniform/linen rooms and pool area.
• To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, presentation and efficiency while achieving guest satisfaction. To supervise and co-ordinate the works of housekeeping contractors

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To co-ordinate with the Human Resources department in the selection of housekeeping staff.
• To plan, recommend and develop on job training for housekeeping staff.
• To ensure staff thoroughly understands the house and departmental rules and regulations.
• To regularly evaluate staff performance and provide recommendations for transfers and promotions.
• To co-ordinate and communicate effectively with other departments as well as within the department.
• To keep all employees informed on significant aspects of the hotel, communicating with all levels of staff.
• To carry out daily inspection of the hotel in all areas and to ensure the housekeeping standards are maintained to the highest level.
